  1. That's what I ended up doing, so as to have precise control over actual pax number, pax weights and cargo/baggage. Works fine. I just let the fuel truck refuel, so as to make sure that the tanks get filled in the right order and with the correct internal flow logic.
  2. Ok. Thanks. Too bad. Might have helped prevent a sudden power surge or loss on ATS disconnect if one doesn't get the hardware throttle pos entirely right just by sight.
  3. Hi, is it possible to bring up the "ghost throttles" on demand, e. g. before manually disconnecting the ATS, in order to sync the hardware throttles? Thanks
  4. I thought as much
  5. Hi, in the Proline21 Advanced fact sheet, a picture like this can be found: The MFD seems to show some kind of 3D representation of the flight path. Is this a gimmick, or is this feature really being used a lot by RW Challenger pilots? Can our Hot Start Challenger do this?
  6. I only got the Hot Start Challenger very recently. Actually, this is what got me into X-Plane after all. And I have to say: this is by far the best aircraft simulation I've ever seen, and I've come a long way from the FS2004 days. I've not been flying anything else than the Challenger since I got it, and it seems it is going to stay that way. Every other simulation just pales in comparison. I've been waiting all my simmer life for a really good simulation of a heavier (i. e. super-midsize to large) business jet. And here it is! Too bad there are currently limitations by X-Plane itself (e. g. for weather radar or EVS), but I am sure the good people at Hot Start will get this done too as soon as X-Plane is up to it. I'm very excited about the future developments of the Hot Start Challenger!
  7. Thanks for your reply. I understand that this is how X-Plane works. OK. But is it supposed to be like that? And why is it much less on the FO side, with more or less the same PFD settings (assuming the blue comes from the PFD)? From a geometry perspective (the displays being below a glareshield), I fail to see how there could be such pronounced reflection in the windshield unless the pilot acts as a mirror. Also, there is light bleeding over from the cabin into the cockpit when the separator between galley and cabin is closed, so as if there was nothing in between cabin and cockpit/galley. Please forgive my questions, I am pretty new to X-Plane (long-time simmer, but on other platforms), and I am not yet able to judge what is normal and expected in X-Plane, and what not.
  8. Hi, at night, I get this blueish hue/shine light bleed in the cockpit window. Is is more pronounced on CAPT side then it is on FO side. The blue light even bleeds into the pedal area. X-Plane 12.05 on Windows 11, nVidia RTX card (latest driver, but this phenomenon already occurred with an older driver). Is there something wrong with my settings? How to get rid of this? Thanks
  9. Disregard. Problem on my end (I should read more carefully :)) Sorry for the bother.
  10. Hi, after having done a couple of flights during daytime with this marvellous Challenger 650, I went for some night flying. However, I seem to be getting some issues here. The integ lighting of the flight control panel, of the controls located between the two MFDs (ISI, SGWAIS switches), and of the CAPT and FO side panels (where the radio controls and oxy masks are) are super-bright, and apparently cannot be dimmed by the respective integ light controls located on the center pedestal: This is extremely irritating during night flying, when everything else is dimmed down nicely. On the other hand, the clock digit figures are barely readable. What am I missing? Can this brightness be controlled? Thanks
  11. But not during takeoff.
  12. Just keep it optional, please Btw: great simulation, quite unprecedented. Absolutely love the attention to detail. Got it only two days ago, so obviously still trying to get my head around it, sourcing infos and earning my "type rating".
