  1. Hey no worries........this is the best of both worlds......SilverLining and its volumetric clouds with some of the finer details integrated for more realism........ Clouds like this have never been implemented into any simulator......People who own V1 already know what I am talking about
  2. all the time...lol
  3. Now that we have the SDK setup for more detailed clouds I am working on texturing.......This isn't as simple as pasting high resolution cloud images, and I am finally starting to get the desired effect..... OK here are a couple of comparisons so you can see the differences in V1 and V2... And some shots around town I would like to share....
  4. Typically performance is better over default, but one shouldn't expect to run SM on high.......Have you taken time to fully tweak the UI for performance? It would be nice to see you on a support thread over a WIP thread.......plenty of nice space on the forums to discuss your issues......
  5. Right now I am setting up manual weather patterns......just some testing going on....
  6. Ah what the heck here is another shot showing the new lens flair option we are working on........
  7. Here are a few more to ponder......
  8. SkyMAXX might become obsolete......Oh no! LOL
  9. Thank for the kind words I am glad you are enjoying our efforts........
  10. Thanks for the kind words and suggestions guys, in brief if you look at the images you can see some more defined cloud textures..... My goal is to bring more contrast to the new textures and I am working on that now......But I am very keen on keeping the spirit of SkMAXX intact, so don't expect a REX clone....
  11. Ok folks a very early, early, early look at what we have been up to with SkyMAXX. Keep in mind this isn't even an Alpha.......I just want to share our progress so far.... What you are looking at in this early preview: Lens FlairMore detailed cloud texturesReworked shadersTowering cloud formations WE still have a lot of work to do, but even this early we are very excited with how things are shaping up..... I hope you enjoy
  12. Alrighty guys thats it no more entries past this point...... When I get the time let me pull all this together and the week of voting will start.....
  13. Yeah just reenforce the importance of hydration.......I always need to look at her point of view and manipulate it to get by........ Its tough being a guy
  14. Sorry to disappoint you......he a novel idea why not re-submit something that follows the rules..... Remember this is for fun, thats why we are here right? Have fun and be creative..... Sorry the plastic water bottle isn't up to snuff with someone of your stature....LOL but staying hydrated is an important part of life, Im just trying to help out.....

  16. Last day guys, lets get those entries in.......
  17. Didn't have mountains in it Tom it was disqualified......
  18. Its highly recommended to run your overcast layer at medium for the time being to avoid crashes. It could be that it took you this long to have met conditions in the low setting to have a crash....
  19. Yes lights disappearing have nothing to do with SMP.......as a matter of fact Im a bit puzzled as why this "flying with Lucy" thread is in the MAXX-XP forums....
  20. I agree, if you start cold and dark yes make it as realistic as possible, if it can be circumvented by having the plane start with having it running on startup then thats easy to support...... Just my opinion I haven't commented on your efforts but this is one that will make its way into my hanger............
  21. Bora Bora XPFR.......
  22. SimHeaven +58 -5 Northern Highlands (I think anyway)
  23. I do not use XSB but chances are it will create a new one........ keep the old preferences in a different location, just in case.....
  24. hmm.....Let me fire up some real world weather..... <<UPDATE>> I got this to reproduce itself, let us get back to you after digging some more...... Nice area to fly in BTW..... <<update, update>> CptCaptain thanks for the help, good news is we will have a fix in the upcoming V2 release.... What you are looking at is how XPX sends weather information to our clouds, in this case real world weather is sending two identical cloud layers at different altitudes....... hang tight
