  1. Hi Yan, You'll find the answer here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/topic/4393-linux-or-not-linux/
  2. Yes: - New version of the roads, railways and power lines converted with XPOSM. - 3D buildings, forests and objects converted with OSM2XP. - Ground textures by SimHeaven.com. - Aircraft: http://www.stephanebuon.fr/DA42/diamond-DA42-xplane.php (with Mario's modification).
  3. Every flight simulator has pros and cons, and most cons have workarounds with add-ons. You just have to find out what's important for you.
  4. No this WineHQ test was made with Fedora 19 but it's also GNU/Linux: http://fedoraproject.org/
  5. On my system, FSX seems very difficult to install and in the end "instruments are not click-able": http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=7775 So, X-Plane is the clear winner for me.
  6. +1 Mario. Great plane, a real pleasure to fly, but not a very "advanced" G1000. You can find the manual here: http://www.stephanebuon.fr/DA42/diamond-DA42-xplane.php I made a new flight today from Düren (EDRJ) to Metz-Nancy-Lorraine (LFJL), but not with a direct route. A few minutes after the take-off, clouds and their shadows behind me: Above Kanfen near the motorway A31: The ULM runway in Zoufftgen. The website for this club: http://ulmclub.online.fr/accueil.htm Above Thionville and Terville: A last shot with Gandrange and Amnéville:

  8. Happy flying !
  9. That's interesting. But how will you test the plane ? Did you already choose the conditions ? What will be your weather (& winds aloft), payload, cost index, etc... Harry, you say it's too expensive for what it offers. OK, but then what do you think about the features and prices for these FS2004 add-ons ? http://www.precisionmanuals.com/pages/product/744.html http://www.precisionmanuals.com/pages/product/md11.html
  10. Great shots !

Hello ! Don't copy the sub-folders (Earth Nav Data and Facades). Copy the main scenery folder created by OSM2XP to your Custom Scenery folder. Yes you need OpenSceneryX for OSM2XP sceneries (for forests and other objects): http://www.opensceneryx.com/ Happy flying.
  19. Great video !
