  1. A sweet little Beaute--she lays down like a tablecloth
  2. Nice shots John & Carlos....
  3. {Thanks! I think I looked at it once before and wound up going with the C400 (Corvalis TT, Columbia, Cessna, whatever...lol). I might have to go check that one out.} You should. Although externally similar they are both quite different to fly & both favorites of mine. Panels & autopilots brill in both. Cheers
  4. Cirrus SR22T by Jason Chandler AIR C-75 'cruster'. It comes in three models and around 40 Liveries--nice Aircraft
  5. Be nice if you can perfect that John...the only thing I miss from my long uninstalled MFS are the seasonal variations options.
  6. Yeah Cruster they were better than they look in my representations but they were very heavy on fps. LR did a lot of work on them but eventually settled on what we have today. In the version shown in my Pics the clouds were very realistic indeed. 90% of my Sim flying is in Bushcraft around the mountain passes of Washington/ W.Canada where the (Real) weather changes very quickly. The early cloud versions being very realistic allowed one to look for pockets of visability in the valleys. The present version gives two options and nothing between---- Out of clouds (Visability)---- to In cloud (Blank white screen)--either in or out in a flash!!!. As I say it was very heavy on fps and I don't have a bad machine--it must have been near impossible for a lot of Simmers---hence the compromise--- Think this is where the clouds changed--- X-Plane 10.04 Beta 5Note: Beta 5 was pulled due to missing texture files. Clouds: Cloud performance has been tuned. The cloud slider is not calibrated the way it was in 10.04b4; please don't worry about the number you see. Tune the slider to get the trade-off of quality and performance you want on your computer. The "100%" mark represents what we think a high-end system might show; you can go past this if you really liked the older high settings from previous betas, but realistically there's no need to do this. The far view clouds should look less strange from orbital altitudes.
  7. Agree with you John.......a total change.Mind you I found the clouds in the first few editions of v10 very agreeable but they were very heavy on the fps...too heavy for some machines I fear. They were transparent from within and had density. These were from end of Jan 2012 which must have been the first update after the release of v10....
  8. Well got to Bellingham, then Vancouver, everything including Autopilot working 'Hunkey dory' till I changed livery---then the 'Cursed' registration system cut in for the billionth time since I bought the plane & she's sitting on the Tarmac waiting for someone to get back to me---think I'll take a bus......
  9. Think shes always been a difficult one to fly (very light on the controls and an easy staller)and I've had to adjust the null zones as usual which I do for very few other planes (Spitfire-Hurricaine only)Been flying hands on tonight & landed her easily at WA09 & CYYJ . Panel gauges,GPS look ok & FD responding but I haven't used auto yet--I'll nip over to Vancouver on auto for a tryout...Cheers
  10. She's airbourne and flying well in v10.20b10 too Cruster so take her across Pal
  11. They were v10 Cruster--haven't tried it on 64bit or version v10.20 32 bit but she flew well on the earlier ones.
  12. Gorgeous shots niebieski--is that a Sim or reality?? X-Plane's & the aircraft/scenery developers have certainly moved forward in the short space of one year. John what kit are you using to get that amazing framerate?
  13. My comments were made on observations I have noticed whilst following all aspects of X-Plane Screenshots on this and several other forums. I have followed with interest the Shots of others and contributed a lot of screenshots myself--it is of equal interest to me as simulated flying of X-Plane, the available aircraft & the scenery. Those comments were an opinion and made without any negative intentions on anyones work let alone yours Maxx. I think you are running off on an unecessary tangent. I have no critisism to make concerning anything you produce--far from it-- and to be truthful I wish I had not used your work as an example. On the other had Maxx if you dont want people to comment on the knickers you're wearing ---don't show them off in public places!
  14. Maxx As I pointed out Max the references 'were totally an opinion of what I had noted' & although I cited your work (For it has been clearly evident in recent postings). I was by no means knocking it Max --indeed I tried it out a long while back & purchased some. It was more subtle & at the time & it's intention seemed directed more towards increasing fps by file manipulation which worked well. Your latest manipulations are not of the same genre--& as you point out it's all down to personal taste. However whilst the Aircraft makers are bending over backwards to reproduce their planes technically perfect & reproducing the visual presentation with a perfection which is approaching 'HD Photo realistic' down to the smallest blemish or screw, it would follow that such aircraft be framed/flown in an equally realistic environment. Although creating an exact & perfect photo realistic Model/Replica of an object is definitely a form of art.. it is not truely open to artistic interpretation. Cheers Pal.
  15. Really like niebieski's & gheeds screenshots but theres something not quite right to my eye but can't quite put my finger on it. They both look very much like 'Water colour paintings' by one of the famous 19th Century artists (My favorite Art medium) & I get the impression a lot of the scenery being turned out (But by no means all) is veering towards visual 'Art' rather than a visual representation of reality which I consider paramount for Flight simulators. Absolutely no disrespect intended on his great work but I feel JohnMaxx's latest postings of his work are veering quite radically in the direction of Art ( & not water colour this time) at the expense of reality ..Only an opinion Folks..Cheers
  16. Incredible rendering & I was expecting even less fps than you came up with--I am happy with the fps I'm getting in V10 64 bit as the flying is more important than scenery to me but hopefully we'll all have Graphics cards that can handle the great work so many are producing for X-Plane 10 one day soon--thanks for the info--Well appreciated
  17. Very nice Mike--what sort of fps were you getting?
  18. Nice Kieran--great colours Pal
