Hughes Airwest were a western United States Airline operating from 1968-1980, originally backed by Howard Hughes. They operated DC9 F27/28 and B727 aircraft

Jetstar Airlines is the "Budget Airline" subsidiary of Qantas Australia, formed in 2003 they operate A321,A320, A330 and B788/9 aircraft

Skywest Airlines Australia is a domestic carrier founded in 1963 and based in Perth, Western Austraiia, It's main client base are mining companies relying on employees to be flown in on a rotational roster basis (fly in , fly out) It was re-branded under the Virgin Australia group in 2011,

Norfolk Island, a small south pacific island - a 2 hour flight time SE of Brisbane Australia, formed it's own international Airline, Norfolk Air in May 2007. It began operations with a single B737-300, operating weekly services to Brisbane, Sydney and later, Newcastle. The aircraft livery depicts the Norfolk pine, unique to this island, this tree adorns the tail. The final flight and subsequent closing of the airline was on 26th Feb 2012.

Tiger Airways Australia began operations in November 2007, operating Airbus A320 aircraft, it re-branded to Tigerair in July 2013. Virgin Australia,  became a major stake holder in 2015. B737-800 aircraft were recently added to their newly opened international, Sydney Bali Sector

Eastwest Airlines Australia, a domestic carrier in the 80-90's,operating F27, F28 and 727 aircraft. They were acquired by Ansett Australia Airlines, which ceased operations in 2001.
