  1. Yep, downloading again worked! Thanks. George
  2. Me too. Either the sever is too busy or IXEG needs to update the installer. Doc1.pdf
  3. Hi all, I spoke too soon. Looks like there's an issue with the IAS/MACH speed window when using VNAV. When using VNAV, the window should be blank, but it appears to always remain in view. It's not bothersome since the values appear to match the FMC climb and descent pages, but when at cruise it displays some funky number. I was at .6 mach, but the window displayed 847. No idea what that's related to. Maybe N1? After going from VNAV to FLCH, the speeds were off from the IXEG 737. Eventually I got it back in sync, but this is something that VA is going to need to fix. Lissy, let me know if you experience the same thing. Thanks, George
  4. Hi Lissy, IXEG 737 is working! VA setup a Teamviewer session and he installed the newest version of the VA interface and it works! Vertical speed and turning the EFIS WX, ARPT, etc., switches now turn on and off correctly. VA said they would reach out to you with the newest VA interface. Once again, great bunch of guys to work with. By the way, the newest version he sent me is VAInterface_2.21.0.12618. Let me know how it works out for you. George
  5. Hi Lissy, I'm also using the exact same profile as you with IXEG 737, 2.20.3.11642,, and 1.0.7. VA said the same thing to me about it working, but I don't see how that's possible unless they're using a different version of X-Plane or they have a bad 1.0.7 install. Maybe we have a bad install, but in either case I asked them if they could change the datarefs to match what they should be, then send me a beta of the interface software to see if it works. You might want to ask them for the same thing to see if they will fix this soon. Silly question, is it possible to change the IXEG 737 dataref to match VA's hardware? I haven't tried the EADT 737 yet. I've been busy trying to figure out how to get the Opencockpits 737 FMC v3 working with FSX and after that how to make it work with IXEG 737. I have the FMC working with iFLY 737, but that's it for now. It's not a plug and play system for sure! Did you get the the VA MCP and EFIS to work with the newest version of FF 757? I can get for a discount for being a previous user, but having extensive experience on the 757/767, the previous version was a disappointment. How's the new version? What doesn't work with the VA hardware? As a side note, are you using a USB hub to connect your hardware? Even though I have a good powerful power supply in my PC, I think I'm working it too hard. Yesterday, the EFIS panel would turn on and off as if I was cycling the USB plug in and out. I closed the VA software and restarted and it didn't happen again, but now I have an EFIS, MCP, Navcomm, Transponder, Saitek yoke and throtlle, and an FMC connected. I think I need a hub and decided to order a Pluggable USB 2.0 7 port hub with 4A. The specs state that it supplies the full USB 2.0 500ma to each port, so I guess it's ok. Any suggestions from the group? Thanks, George
  6. Hi everyone, I sent VA some of the info from this discussion. Hopefully they will put up an update to correct what appears to be an easy fix. Thanks, George
  7. Hi mmerelles, I'm not finding a file with datarefs in it. Maybe Lissy was able to look at the source code of other files (.exe and .dll), but I'm only able to view .ini and .xml files. None of them appear to have datarefs. Thanks, George
  8. I also found that the Carenado FSX Dornier 228 works with some of the MCP modes. Sounds like you're digging into the code to see if we can adjust datarefs, thanks great. Hopefully someone can help you figure it out, maybe even VA. It will be great when they fix the IXEG 737 and iFLY 737 issues. Thanks for the info! George
  9. Hi Lissy, Glad you got it and I'm also glad we both have the same problem with vertical speed. I thought it was just me. I too put in a ticket for the vertical speed issue. If you haven't heard from them, you might want to post the issues on Avsim as they monitor the VA forum there. By the way, I disengage the autopilot via my saitek yoke. I agree, it would be nice if we have control over the software in order to deal with new aircraft and issues like the vertical speed issue. By the way, have you tried FSX and PMDG 737 NGX? It works great with it. How do you like the stand? I have one, but decided to build my own since I also have a Jetmax Nav/comm radio( which doesn't work with X-plane at all) and OpenCockpits transponder (works with X-plane and IXEG). It came out nice for what it is, but it's temporary until I start building the cockpit. Enjoy, George
  10. Hi Lissy, You're welcome. By the way, if you're buying this from VA directly, see if you can get a desktop stand. It has a slot for both the EFIS and MCP and makes life easy unless it's going into a home built cockpit. Yes, once you get it, please let us know your experience with it. There are pros and cons with owning an EFIS and MCP. You get stuck with only certain types of aircraft, but at the end of the day I've settled with a 737 which is a perfect fit with the EFIS and MCP from VA. By the way, VA's CDU software doesn't work with x-plane right now. Hopefully it will at some point. I agree with Mmerelles, it would be nice if the software was open source to allow the flight sim community to adapt to new aircraft. Enjoy, George
  11. Hi Lissy, So far, VA have been a great bunch of folks to deal with. I'm confident that they will come through and fix some of the compatibility issues. In all fairness to them, X-plane has been updated several times recently and IXEG 737 has been updated several times. I'm sure it takes some time to update their software to work correctly. Initially, I had some problems with my MCP, but they setup a Skype call to work through the issue and it was resolved. So what's my advice to you? I would purchase this MCP if you tend to use FSX/P3D with PMDG's 737NGX and 777 or iFly 737. If you use X-plane and use it with IXEG's 737, it works for the most part, but V/S doesn't work (at least on my setup) and the EFIS control panel switches only work when you turn a switch on. iFly's 737 works except for the SPD INTV feature as it relates to displaying the current speed on the MCP while using VNAV. Since it works perfectly with PMDG's 737NGX, I can only assume that they will be able to fix this issue easily in the near future. Why did I buy their MCP versus all of the other options? It looks real and the backlighting is fantastic. Also, it's easy to setup. You load their software, then plug in the MCP and EFIS and they work. I also purchased their iPad CDU software and it works perfectly with the MCP and EFIS software. By the way, if you purchase the CDU software, make sure to buy the package plan if you fly with multiple PMDG aircraft. I made a mistake and purchased them separately. I could of saved a few bucks if I purchased the package, but didn't realize it was available. Hope this helps, George
  12. No, not yet. Still waiting to hear back from the Virtual Avionics team. They've been a great bunch of folks to deal with, so I'm sure I'll hear something soon. Thanks for asking.
  13. Hi Mmerelles, Thanks for the reply. Virtual Avionics got back to me with a new firmware and interface software, but I still have the same problems. They stated that the IXEG 737 works great on their end. Is it possible that the datarefs on my end are corrupted? If yes, how do I repair the datarefs? I'm running X-plane 10.50 and IXEG 737 v1.0.7. Thanks, George
  14. Hi everyone, I'm having some problems with IXEG 737 and the Virtual Avionics MCP-R and EFIS panels. 1. When V/S is selected the vertical speed window opens to -7900 or +7900 and the aircraft doesn't respond to any vertical rate commands. If I open the V/S window in IXEG, the MCP doesn't display what the software MCP displays. It's not synced. 2. When flying in vnav, the speed window stays open all the time even though the software mcp shows a blank window. 3. When selecting any of the EFIS control panel modes such as airports, STA, WPT, etc., they turn on, but can't be tuirned off via the hardware MCP. You can only turn them off via the software EFIS control panel. 4. When switching from map to plan via the hardware MCP, the HSI crashed and the gizmo window displayed. Any ideas? Thanks, George Log.txt
  15. That took care of it, thanks. I also reinstalled the HSAIR file from the original download and everything appears to be back to normal again. Thanks, George
  16. Hi everyone, I'm moving my SSD drive which I've been using via a USB 3.0 docking station to inside the PC. I installed the drive inside my PC, then rebooted. No problems, the PC detected the drive and it was able to read the drive. The issue is when I try to run X-plane. X-plane 10.50 gets stuck on the loading screen and the HSAIRXPL WIN64 file is the file it gets stuck on. The only payware programs I have installed are IXEG 737, X-Life, and one payware scenery. What is the proper procedure in moving the exact same drive from an external docking station to inside the PC? Is IXEG 737 stopping X-plane from starting? X-Life? By the way, I took the drive out and placed it into the docking station and it works perfectly. Thanks! George
  17. Hi, Is this something that I can fix? Thanks, George
  18. Hi, While using the Virtual Avionics 737MCP, if I select from MAP, PLN, VOR, then APP, gizmo crashes every time. I'm running X-plane 10.50. Thanks, George GizmoLog.txt Log.txt
  19. I purchased AirFMC and as stated from others, it works great. I too hope they release an update to match Boeing's CDU color. The nice thing is that it appears to work with many X-plane payware aircraft. I also read the post from Virtual Avionics that they are working on supporting IXEG's 737. I hope that occurs soon. Thanks to all, George
  20. Hi, I'm using the Saitek Radio panel and it works right out of the box with Saitek's current drivers. I'm using it with IXEG's 737 and PMDG's 737 NGX (on FSX:SE) with no problems at all. Hope this helps, George
  21. Hi, I was on a Vatsim flight and while being vectored for the approach I wanted to verify my speeds and progress page when all of a sudden the error window displayed. I was using AirFMC at the time when it crashed. Any ideas? Thanks, George GizmoLog.txt Log.txt
  22. Thanks for the info. I purchased the Saitek radio panel and I'm going to try AirFMC. I just found out that Virtual Avionics is about to release a Boeing like Com and Nav radio. Depending on their price, I might return the Saitek. Thanks again, George
  23. Hi, Does anyone know of a remote CDU and/or comm radio that works with IXEG's 737? Thanks, George
  24. Looks like CPflight is out of the running. I got an email from them that IXEG 737 is not supported. Too bad, it seems like a nice MCP.
