  1. Sorry, it was the eject button not working in that case, so that wouldn't have helped. And now, it's more a matter of why it won't work on the laptop but it will on the iMac. I have a feeling it's a problem with the disk drive.
  2. Ok, I moved everything from the desktop to the 13" Macbook (Really Copied but anyway). I put the disk in, and heard grinding noises. I hit the eject button, and it came out. Put the disk back in the desktop, fine. Eject, back to the laptop, and more noises. Eject....no. Doesn't eject. Just got error message: Volume "XPLANE92" can not be used and will be ejected because it is no longer available. Except it doesn't eject at all. Hardware specs: MacBook4,1 MATSHITA CD-RW CW-8221 Reads DVD Edit: Just got it out, I guess I got lucky this time I hit "Eject." Still don't think if I put it back in it will run in normal mode though.
  3. Ok, I edited the post with one more significant, IMHO, detail, being that the Desktop has a bunch of applications and documents etc. you'd expect on a family computer, but the laptop doesn't as it is less frequently used.
  4. Ok, similar question. Trying to decide if I should move X-Plane from my desktop to my laptop to help with the freezing issue, or if I should update my desktop. Desktop: iMac5,1 Intel Core 2 Dou 1 2GHz processor 2 Cores 4MB L2 Cache 1GB "Memory," not sure what kind 667MHz Bus Speed Lots of Applications and various stuff you'd expect on a family computer Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X1600 128MB VRAM 1440x900 32 Bit PCle Bus, whatever that is versus: Macbook4,1 Intel Core 2 Dou 1 2.1 GHz Processor 2 Cores 3MB L2 Cache 1MB "Memory," again, not sure what memory 800 MHz Bus Speed Less applications and stuff in general than the family computer Graphics Card: Intel GMA X3100 144MB VRAM 1280x800 32 Bit Built-In Bus
  5. Thanks, I've got an idea of how to solve it. (2 actually, I'll have to look more in depth)
  6. Nice paints, but then again, that's what we've come to expect from you. I'll grab them up soon, can't right now as I don't have the computer X-Plane is on.
  7. Terrible picture-the woman side is faaaaaaar to simplified!
  8. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :) :) :) :) :) :)
  9. Oh, those. I've noticed that on the EC-135, they sometimes appear and then disappear when you touch down.
  10. Cool, great news if I could fly. One thing though, I'm having an issue locating the bear paws.
  11. New symptom-Whushing sound (Whop whop whop whop etc.) once x-plane is loaded at LOWI, with absolutely no default or custom scenery there. Again, immediate freeze. Solved Somewhat-Moved X-Plane to laptop.
  12. This might help: Running out of RAM will cause crashes as well. At least 1 GB of RAM should be used for current versions of X-Plane (more on Windows Vista and Windows 7). This also assumes that the computer is not overclocked.
  13. Ok, just froze offline, with just "The Jet", at LOWI. Totally new prefs, everything. Back to square 1 unfortunately. Edit: On a side note, I barely have any hard drive space. I mean barely. I have because of this eliminated all European default scenery I have, as well as a good chunk of the Pacific Island scenery and Northern Alaska. I now have scenery only for the Caribbean, Continental US, Southern Canada, and parts of Mexico.
  14. I'll try that, minus the Python problem. I uninstalled it (well, from how I "Installed It") and will try again tonight.
  15. Log said something about XSB loading errors, and I had some CSLs in. Do you think thats it? Log.txt
  16. Just tried Tonka's solution. For those familiar with Philly southbound departures on VATSIM, it was at 3000 feet, 8.5 NM from OOD Woodstown. Barely anywhere.
  17. Those are some nice paints for sure!!!!
  18. Then I understand. I am 14, not at all offended, but in your case I understand. Exact same circumstances for me.
  19. Sorry it took so long, here you are: Intel Core 2 Duo iMac5,1 (Model ID, not sure what that means) 1 processor 2 cores 1 Gig of memory Edit: Just realized that my hard drive is pretty full, and I have an external hard drive which has much more space. Do you think putting everything related to X-Plane (It's a family computer) on that hard drive would help? Edit 2: Fantastic. Deleted prefs, and my whole computer crashed when setting up my joystick. Not exactly a JOYstick right now. Edit 3: Reinstalled XSB. Froze during taxi.
  20. In other words, those are all the specs I know, what else would you need? I don't think it is prefs, as this has been consistent since about September, though I will delete them to be sure. I'm aware that you said you weren't sure, my question is can you find out what they are? Download this http://www.cpuid.com/ it will tell you what they are. It's hard helping someone if you don't have their specs. Are you sure that's for Mac, because PC wizard, which it seemed was the one I should use, said Windows 7/Vista. Tonka, I'll try that, I'm assuming you mean uninstall X-Plane, remove the disk, re-install, or do that with the disk in?
  21. Lol, and you weren't lying about the first one.
  22. Ok, I'll try that. Results in maybe 20 minutes.

  24. Ok, since I started flying on VATSIM, my frame rates will often randomly drop from maybe 84 like it did today, (Though I was on the ground, I usually get around 25-30), to a freeze. This happens constantly, and happens when something as simple as hitting a button on the FMC, (Like today), or texting a message, (The other freeze from today). Every time, I have to restart my Mac, and lose my flight. I run 9.68 on an Imac 27", OSX 10.5.8. Not sure of other hardware specs, however I usually have my rendering options set waaaaaaaay down. Edit: Re-Phrased title to be more accurate.
  25. A Dash, taxiways, a hangar maybe, and a few low barracks.
