  1. I can disable the SimHeaven_VFR Landmarks but I've only been using them for a week so they're not the culprit. You think me running out of VRAM when using the IXEG could cause a crash? Apart from that I'll try and disable all the custom scenery folders and we'll see how it goes. I'll hate flying without the MisterX's airports though.
  2. There we go. I did a flight to KPHX today and experienced a CTD when I was descending. Now that I think about it most if not all CTD's with the IXEG happen on the descent. GizmoLog.txt Log.txt
  3. I do. I demand realism from all the planes I buy. If I need to wait a bit for the magic to happen so be it. Let's not forget that the plane despite bugs is flyable in XP11 which makes the waiting game a lot less difficult.

  7. I had a few of those but they were minor and only happened when I did something stupid in the MCDU. Crashes I'm experiencing with the 733 are CTD's. They're random and unpredictable. For a comparison I did 12 flights in a row with the FF 767 and almost all of them wete 4+ hours and didn't experience a single CTD. 3 flights with the IXEG and I will CTD.
  8. To be honest I don't mind the wait for 1.1 I would only like to see the crashes in XP11 fixed.
  9. I experience CTD's and it's the only plane that I use that crashes for me. Good to see I'm not the only one.
  10. Am I the only one who experiences random crashes in XP11. Every 3 to 5 flights I'll get a crash and it's usually at around descent. I know XP 11 is not supported but I'm still wondering.
  11. I think I narrowed down what was causing the "anomalies". I did a few touch and go's with what Jan's said in mind. I flared with more force then I used too and it was better. Lesson learned is that one should not be afraid to flare with a bit of force. It has to be a quick and determined flare.
  12. This is exactly what I've been doing. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I guess I must practice more. I really like the flight model of the 733. One tiny mistake on landing and it's going to be a bad one. Should the flare speed be vref or vref+5?
  13. Yea but the G/S is 3 degrees so on flare I pitch only 2 degrees to get to 5 degrees. Doesn't seem that much to be honest.
  14. I decrease my throttle at 10ft.
  15. I flare to 5 degrees at about 20 feet of radial altitude with the speed of vref on a 3 degree G/S. Sometimes the landings are smooth but sometimes the plane smashes the ground. Why?

  18. I think this pretty much answers my question. The course, nav radios were both set correctly for the Captain and the First Officer. Now that I think about it it could be that the F/D was working as it should but was off course a bit because of the strong winds. As I remember now the F/D was aligned properly once I was closer to the runaway, but because I was fighting bad weather and extremely low visibility I was to occupied too notice. Thank you very much for the clarification.
  19. I was doing an approach to EGPH ILS 24. After I captured the G/S the APP button turned off leaving me without F/D guidance ( the F/D was still active but it didn't lead me toward the runaway or my descent rate ). I've tried to capture the ILS three times and it was the same every time. I like to fly my approaches by hand so the AP was turned off, but on my last approach I left the AP on and disabled once the G/S was captured and as soon as I disengaged the A/P the APP button disengaged. This is the first time this has happened so I'm left to wonder if this was a bug or is this a normal behavior that I never noticed?
  20. Fear not my friend I hardly get bored. I've been flying the 767 for a year now and don't get bored one bit. Rest assure the same will be with the 733
  21. After flying the 733 for a few days now I think that the IXEG team has done a wonderful job of bringing this classic to X-Plane. But I do wonder if the above-mentioned expansion is being looked at. If not what other planes can we expect?
  22. Thank you mate. So to understand you better you recommend me to use FLCH instead of the VNVAV?
  23. Is it normal for the spoiler to do such a bad job at slowing down the plane on the decent or is this just an XP11 quirk? Even if I extend the spoiler fully the plane will pass it's target speed with a decent rate of 2000 FPM.
