  1. An aircraft rotation from Munich via Paris to Innsbruck and back to Munich with X-Plane 10, the payware ERJ 140 from Dan Klaue, X-Real Germany, several freeware sceneries and a lovely First Officer .
  2. This discussion reminds me to XP9 ... The clouds were also nicer - fluffier - in the early version, but then (around 9.20?) they get worse and people wanted to have back the old ones. Unfortunately their (and also mine) wish wasn't answered.
  3. So let's come to the dark side of Madeira - some first experiments with global lighting: By the way, it will be only a scenery for X-Plane 10, as XP9 doesn't support global lighting (sorry for the XP9 users).
  4. I'll second that. And additional I miss the outside views with TrackIR as they were in the very first beta. From your point of view you could pan around with TrackIR (more or less smooth - as smooth as you can turn your head ) instead of clicking and dragging with the mouse, which is somehow jerky. This feature unfortunately is gone .
  5. Again some screenshots, now with XP10. Did some more texturing, this and that, but the most did XP10 - with the dynamic shadows and the better mesh elevation. Unfortunately the latter is still not good enough for LPMA (especially for the runway on pillars), and I painfully experienced that it is not (yet) possible to edit the elevation, so we have to wait. Maybe I will release an intermediate version without the runway on pillars when I'm finished so far. And now for something completely different ... the screenshots:
  6. Ha ... with animated dogs and cats on the streets etc. And then we let AI fly even our own plane and don't have to do anything else than watching X-Plane like a model railway ...
  7. Yes I know. That's what I read from the previous posts, but was too lazy to type all this stuff ... . Really? That would be good news
  8. I'm a little disappointed - I ordered XP10 on 24. Nov. (same day as the Demo appeared), it was shipped on 9. Dec. but still didn't arrive . According to USPS tracking it is still in Miami since 10. Dec. I'm not blaming X-Aviation, and I read here that USPS tracking is ... err ... well ... #~&=/% ... not good. The world doesn't end at the US border . And currently their tracking system is as slow as the whole delivery chain .... I should have waited and ordered at Aerosoft and would have had some more airports, but at the time I ordered, the status was, that Aerosoft will ship XP10 only in January and I didn't want to wait this long.
  9. Unfortunately my XP10 DVD's didn't arrive yet (grrrr, USPS or whoever), so I had to kill time with another (quick'n'dirty) video of the Seattle Demo area - this time with some rather unusual impressions.
  10. Well ... not much more to say than in the title ;-) ... a quick'n'dirty video with the Carenado Saratoga in KSEA at night.
  11. @Nouknitouk: You probably expect the water to be blue like in FSX, because you are used to see the water being blue when you are e.g. at the beach and the blue sky is reflecting at the horizon. In my eyes this effect is simulated very good in X-Plane. In contrast: did you watch the water (rivers, sea) from a plane looking downwards or when the sky is grey as in the picture below? The water isn't blue anymore. The water being blue all the time is only the dream of non-pilots. (Real) Pilots do know how the water looks in reality. Only in the tropics the water is lovely blue very close to the coast - that's true. But I, for myself, don't like to have such blue water all over the world, as it is unrealistic.
  12. Ok, here are some more tiny details (still W.I.P.):
  13. Nice video - enjoyed it. Myself took part at a flight with the Ju52 some years ago in EDDN. It wasn't cheap, but well ... it's one of the things that a man must do . By the way, one of the pilots of my flight is member of the gliding club in which I used to fly some years ago ... unfortunately I didn't get the flight cheaper .
  14. Not this bad as well ;D As you can see, most of the space is used by scenery
  15. Apropos: with Aerosoft entering more and more the X-Plane market I'm a little bit afraid that they will release Madeira on their own for XP. Well ... if so, I will have at least the alternative for those who don't like Aerosoft and for those who don't buy payware "on principle" .
  16. @kesomir ;D. To be correct: it is the airpORT of xyz. @woweezowee: You are totally right. Island - correct Germans* (but not only) like to stay there for their holidays - correct An airport that has not been made for xplane yet - correct It's not Menorca, not Ibiza, not Mallorca, not Sicily - correct Next, please! ;D * By the way, myself will fly to this island by end of August for a short holiday (incl. airport watching), but this information will help you not a bit ;D.
  17. After failing miserably ;D to achieve the winner's podium in a competition at a different X-Plane forum, I decided to start another attempt. Ok, actually I started already before the competition. Howsoever ... here are some screenshots. The one who can tell me first, which airport it is, will get the scenery for free. Gotcha! Everybody will get it for free, as I won't make it payware. But there's still a lot to do, so please be patient .
  18. Ha !! I assume you live (or lived) in Nurmeberg, or at least know about the special "friendship" between both cities? ;D By the way, I planned to do Nuremberg, but then I found out that it was already in development, so I had to find something different.
  19. Just in case you didn't notice ;D - the scenery was released, you can download it here: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=13385.
  20. Review: http://simhq.com/_air13/air_471a.html Video:
  21. Ha! We had such incredible FPS until recently ... with FSX ;D. Ok, the graphics are slightly better in FSX ...
  22. No new screenshots, but a link to the download of the scenery: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=13385. Enjoy .
  23. ... before release. What you see here is the work of almost one year. It's the city of Fürth in Northern Bavaria/Germany. Some night textures still need to be applied, as well as some street lights, this and that - and finally ... beta testing.
  24. It's only a few days/weeks until I will release my scenery (of which I already uploaded some vids on youtube, e.g. ), and here I want to show some night and day screenshots. It's the city of Fürth in Germany, directly near Nuremberg and if you already have downloaded FranknFly's fantastic Nürnberg VFR scenery, you will soon have 2 cities for sightseeing .Orthophotos probably won't be included because of copyright issues unless I find a way to get orthophotos legally (and for free). Ovierview 1, night (in the top right you see the lights of Nürnberg/Nuremberg, EDDN): Ovierview 1, day: Ovierview 2, night: Ovierview 2, day: Some details: Football stadium, night: Football stadium, day: Old town, night: Old town, day: Urban freeway, night: Urban freeway, day:
