  2. I mean that the textures on the plane are "simulated" reflections, to my knowledge they don't actually reflect what the environment around them is. Or am I wrong? If I'm not, I'm buying this plane when I have money.

  4. Molokai development to commence on Thursday, March 12th.

There's a reason I'm waiting until May to start development (other than school) - I want the sun higher in the sky for photography, and most of the important sides of the buildings are north facing at KBLI. That being said... let's hope that there is clear weather some time in early May because other than I have a vacation scheduled and a job that might start on the 25th... so I have a narrow slot.
  6. Sorry for all the broken image locations - lots of stuff has changed url's and I can't find it any more. In other news, KBLI is back on my plate as an important project, I just organized my flight with my friend to Bellingham International Airport for a texture photoshoot.

  9. Nothing really to be said about this. Basically it's going well and I have a symphony to attend so no more development for tonight.
  10. Since I can't develop lanai and my partner is on vacation so I can't start Molokai at this time, I've spent the last hour doing some research. Check this out: I will be modelling Old Kona Airport as an airport if I ever get to the Big Island - just remember, the more airports, the merrier. I won't include it as an ICAO coded, true X-Plane airport, but it will be there for you to land at.   11. Apparently, I found a bug in X-Plane without even realizing it. I now have to wait until it's resolved before continuing development. Hawaii Photoreal is indefinitely postponed.
  12. New problem that I ran into while working on Prince George airport has now arisen at Lanai: In WED, the signs are in the right place. In X-Plane 10, they are definitely not in the right place.

Much appreciated Super thrilled that we got permission to use this FSX scenery to supplement the existing stuff for X-Plane, but it's still almost all original work for ground textures around the airport (pavement, runway, etc). Anyone care to help me solve what this means at the end of the log.txt file?   16. The title basically says it all. I can't really be more specific at this point, this is to do with Hawaii Photoreal and the fact that we have gotten permission to convert some stuff. That's all. I feel like a two year old posting a question this non-specific.

In my drunken (I don't drink, I'm just exhausted, it's 12:20AM here) stupor I shall break protocol and publish an in-simulator shot comparing full resolution to default scenery without the typical overlay stating that it is official from HAwaii Photoreal... I just want to get the orthophotos done with so I can start dropping houses and trees...
  21. HAHAHAHHAHA I want to drive my scissors through my forehead. I have to put these all into WED. In this configuration. God help me. Trying to optimize for DDS compression to reduce the number of MB of unnecessary smooth alpha (since that doubles file size) EDIT: PHOTO MISSING
  22. How did you get that appearance in the water? The waves look way bigger than X-Plane's default millpond effect.
