  1. I have a pretty powerful PC 3570K at 4.8GHz 8GB 1600 RAM GTX680 SOC And in 32bit i can run no problems at all with very high settings and maintain well over 30fps with no issues, now as soon as i run 64 bit I cant get it to load, it will say that my whole system is running out of memory. Anyone any ideas? Thanks Simon
  2. Looks ok, something missing in the cockpit though!
  3. Been a while since ive been on here, but XP10 had me having to post, first off it looks "ok" not much better than XP9 really, yes the raods are nice and the night lighting etc, but the textures are still very amateurish. Next up is performance, on my 2500K@5.2ghz and ATi HD6970 2GB and all left on default i get no more than 22fps, im up to date with all drivers, think it needs a lot of optimizing yet.
  4. Now thats how an aircraft should look in game!
  5. Exciting stuff indeed.
  6. Ive got hold of a copy from the developers and links to lots of source code and things if you want to take a look Javier?
  7. You can use more than one sim you know :
  8. Its realtime generated via the weather engine, get the demo and try it out!

  10. Demo is very good to play with!
  11. Hmmm not overly impressed at all! Some of the bits were nice but rest looked pretty shoddy to me.
  12. One thing that is important to point out is that things progress..both technology and with that skills and opportunity. Carenado has been around a long time and the stuff they had/have were top of the game for flight simming. Just like the MU-2, those works though are not taking advantage of the latest and greatest. The new caravan for FSX by Carenado is well above his previous works in quality and detail and I expect further improvement as time goes on. To say that one's works is better than another is to imply that one is better or more capable than another and that is not always the case. Jason, for example, prefers his style as does his customers...doesn't man he's less of a developer or incapable..he just chooses his path. Some designers make calculated choices for whatever reasons. I think Carenado/Fernando is super talented and his stuff is at the top of the quality ladder. I think our best x-plane developers are top of the quality ladder also...I don't think you could say that Carenado is better than us any more than I'd say we're better than them. I think perhaps the x-plane fraternity might feel a little defensive to have such a MSFS big-wig come into our camp and just start taking over...but this is good for the community. The only unknown is the flight models..and how robust they'll be. I'm not sure if Carenado is doing it in house or sourcing a x-plane developer. Taking note of the frequenters of the Carenado thread at the org though...I have my suspicions and if it's who I think it is, then I'll probably have to refrain from purchasing the wonderful artwork of Carenado....nobody hangs around in "their own thread" more than this guy. Ive been a massive fan of Carenado through out FS9 and FSX, and had great fun with their products, ive no doubt i'll buy the C208 for FSX also, but i just love the way developers are going for XP.
  13. Carenado WERE good a couple of years ago, but now we have the likes of the MU2 (and the upcoming v1.5) and the duchess and other available at XA and they are blowing Carenado out the water.
  14. Hmmm i dont think it gets any quicker than GBC.... Im gonna do some more now infact!
  15. Looks promising but the orthophoto looks pretty low res indeed.
  16. Been playin with GBC a lot today, dont quite a few buildings in Dublin and Birmingham, i reckon we could do the whole UK in no time at all if we really wanted to and use in XP!
  17. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out. http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/
  18. Released!
  19. This is a truly epic, but i also agree that FSX is far from dead! ORBX are taking that sim to new levels but you need hefty hardware to run it, which isnt to badly priced nowadays, and if your buying a new PC you shouldnt be looking at anythign less than a i7 920 at the prices they are now.
  20. Sounds pretty nice, could of built yourself for like half the price though
  21. Thanks Ola! Ive made my decision
  22. You have inspired me to add a LOT more detail to my EGNT build, i know ive not put up any screens but im pulling a "PMDG" for now and keeping quiet on that one ;D
  23. You had a little time so made it over Christmas??!! Blimey you work fast dude! haha... Thanks for the scenery looks great.
