ok, ill try the whole freqs. On my jepessen ILS24 plate for EHRD the RR ndb is 404.5 if i'm not mistaken. That's why I asked. Ill just try 404 see if it picks up

How can you select decimal on the add? Or is that not possible?

odd, would have been nice to be able to use it, but no big problem. Vor-vor gets a liltle busy when also flying online. So nothing to do with the decimal point / comma settings of the OS?

one thing they didn't update is that I'm still bald in the left seat Ps the taxi and landing lights are not visible from the cockpit with hdr off.

That with hdr on? seems okay then. I turned hdr off for now, it is clearly not optimised in xplane atm. Games like DCS a-10C with max settings are only limited by vsync on my system, with hdr on. I have a 2500K @ 4.3, 8 gb ram and an asus gtx 780 oc with 3 gb vram (fps on add on airport + photoscenery = around 25-30 ground, much more in air) did you update skymaxx btw? I noticed better fps after the update.

i tried another monitor i had, it's a 1680*1050, I still have hd off, but skymaxx with god rays and med settings for ovc and ci get 60 fps in the air, around 30 standing at the gate at schiphol (aerosoft). It's quite a step back from my 30 inch screen to a 23 inch, so im looking to get something a tad bigger, like 27 inch. Is 27 inch @ 1920*1080, have to research if the image will still be crisp at that size.

i Hope so, I have a similar pc as your specs, but quite a large resolution 2560*1440. Atm (before skymaxx) running 30 - 50 fps with avg around 40. But fps drop to 22 with the god rays on and thats with the lowest detailed overcast. Ill try on 1920*1080. See what that brings. I know you cannot compare with fsx bladibla but thats old tech and with numerous custom airports/scenery/rex etc I get a minimim of 22 fps or so at schiphol and 40 plus in the air with stuff like the pmdg 737 and amazing rex clouds. So thats kind of the performance I want from xp10, without having to turn everything off, and I'm kinda bummed to find out I cannot get there with xp10.

Tbh, those fps worry me. Add a custom airport and what happens? 33 fps on a bare runway, outside the 3d pit...... Sounded too good to be true anyway, again.

You are easy to please, it's been " soon" since the tread was started. Apparently there has been a huge demand from customers to give out vague deadlines, so they now started to "not provide times of release" whilst giving vague times of release. Only terms like soon, soonish, any day now are permitted, so the customers can fill in their own sense of what soon, soonish or any day is. Bear in mind that these terms have no relation whatsoever to the actual passing of time and whithin days can very well mean next month or later. Too bad I spent my cash, but I'll "soon" deinstall this product....ooh woopsie all done.

The product is top notch, no doubt. Im just a xp newbie atm but its growing on me. But im a grumpy mofo so better get used to my occasional verbal rays of sunshine

Hm yes I admit, patience is not really my strongest point. As far as an update goes, that's admirable, I just don't like the " within days, weeks, months" vague references or terms you cannot keep, as with the original release. I'm still somewhat torn between fsx and x plane, I really want to like x plane and was rooting for the saab and was a bit let down by the hit on the system, because even with the pmdg 777 I really dont want to go back to fsx as my main sim. Planes in fsx look nice, pmdg is awesome, but the overall look of fsx looks plastic like to me, the lighting is somehow off cant put my finger on it. Where the lighting in xplane and the look of terrain is lightyears more realistic imo. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an application for the position of either Statler or Waldorf to put in the mail.

no offense to cameron intended, but why wake people up about something that isn't ready yet? There is no added value. Personally I'm irritated as crap by this modus operandi, near the point of binning the entire saab addon. I had already shelved it for now, because fps performance is too poor for my taste atm. We do not all have the luxury of Titans in our systems nor am I inclined to go buy one just because some flight sim addon seems to need one to get decent performance. (I have a very capable system atm that runs the obsolete fsx with rex utx and pmdg products flawlessly with high fps) But then they wake you with updates and fps improvement, only to discover it's another teaser for an unfinished update to be released within a vague timeframe, so, while this beeing a niche market, still you have a lot of people F5-ing the forums for the release of the update. my grumpy 2 cts

what nvidia drivers are you all on and notice any better / worse fps results with different driver versions? In other sims I sometimes notice huge differences in performance from one update to the next. Often the more recent driver gives worse performance. Just wondering how much of an issue this is in xpx, if it is at all. (in falcon bms for instance I would update drivers and sometimes lose 40% fps and get cluncky movement, ofc bms is a lot older programming)

It came up while trying to get fps up for the saab ( saw the fps thread and the hdr setting off temporary solution) But maybe the general "help" thread would be more appropriate. Ill post there.

Thanks for the update Cameron. I guess that you get a lot of requests for time tables. I'm more of a when it's done it's done person and only communicate dates/times myself when i'm 100% sure i can meet it, otherwise you get the above. O well, you can't please everybody at the same time

I still fail to see the point of giving a specific time frame, and then releasing the last hour/minute of that time frame. (Which remains tot be seen atm) i hope there isn't too much cognitive dissonance after the marketing boy's work. In fact, there will be a lot if marketing did their job right.

they get the marketing right. Never seen so much teasing, a week ago I knew nothing about any saab 340. I only committed to x plane (coming from fsx) 2 weeks ago, flying the crj200, and now I find myself checking this site every hour for news. bastards
