  1. Hi Cameron, Yes I can confirm I am using the latest hotfix (i.e. available through Wade's homepage but not on the main download page). While tinkering I also found a workaround to the problem if I 1) start up x-plane normally and enable the xsquawkbox plug, 2) disable xsquawkbox from the plugin admin menu, 3) start up the CRJ past the "APU gen on" step and 4) enable xsquawkbox from the plugin admin menu. Hope this helps, Brad
  2. Hi Guys, I'm having issues running xsquawkbox with the CRJ since X-plane updated to 9.70. I am in a clean Demo copy only working with the CRJ required plugins +/- xsquawkbox. With xsquakbox installed, I have a CTD upon either starting the external power or the APU generator. I have a E8600 overclocked to 3.6 GHz and an 8800 GT card (also overclocked), 2 GB RAM. I was routinely enjoying 35-40 FPS on my windows 7 setup before this mess. I updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers and the most recent (i.e. working with 9.70) copy of xsquakwbox to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Brad crash_log.txt Log.txt
  3. One more minor lighting thing; the strobe light reflects off the base of the right copilot side window. It doesn't seem to reflect off the left side. Take care, Brad
  4. From what I can gather inserting a Fix into the Magenta (active) line of the legs page does not result in a "direct to" your new fix from your present position. It will merely draw your course on the MFD from whatever fix was last active. The result is that you still need to estimate a heading to fly to this new fix or fly an intecept heading to this incorrect course. It would be quite beneficial to have the FMS logic re-insert the aircraft's present position in the top (LSK1, aqua blue) line when entering a new fix to go direct to in the magenta line (LSK2); that way you will be able to fly a direct to course with the FMS nav mode. Thanks so much for your hard work Jrollon. This aircraft sets a new standard for x-plane!

    PFD oddity

Hi, Yes. I'm really enjoying the plane. It's pretty fantastic so far. To answer your question, that first pic was taken at KLAX airport, with OCN vor set as the waypoint. I tried it again using a different fix... this time at KOWD airport, with KBOS set as the destination. Same gobbledegook. Zoomed in pic below... Thanks for your help, -Brad
  6. Hi all, Just got the plane last night and am loving so far. I did notice one oddity on the PFD, however. In the uppermost middle left of the G1000 PFD, just to the left of the display for GS and track information to next waypoint, I'm seeing a bunch of gobbledeegook. This only occurs when the CDI is in GPS mode. It's gone when I enter NAV mode. It occurs in both the 2D and 3D cockpit. I reinstalled Gizmo without any luck in fixing it. Any thoughts on this? Thanks, -Brad
