What kind of files for the plane packeage can I upload? When I uploaded .rar archive I got "You can't upload this type of file".

Hello everyone, Been around other forums on X-Plane, seems pretty nice here. Questions right away: is there a section to upload my own designes, and, what X-Plane version is this to be expected? Most of my planes have been made in 8.64 and some troubles upgrading them to X-Plane 9. Can I skip it to have X-Plane 10 upgrade 8.64 versions so that I'll be able to proceed to the latest sim version from 8.64? Thanks,
