Hello CRJTeam - friendly and polite I repeat my question - how can we fix the xsquawkbox problem. Philpp thinks it is an activation problem, Cameron don´t think so. How can we figure out if it is really not an activation problem. (As I said before the CDU is working on the IPad although I do not see PDF / EFIS / CDU) Regards Tom

Yes, I do not want more Cameron. I only want to solve this xsquawkbox problem. And you must say that it is really silly that I did have to find out to open and close the door after moving the plane to another stand for using the CDU GPU button again, isn´t it. To find this out costs me hours of restarting xplane10 again and again. Same with my xsquawkbox plugin thing. I would not post if I could figure it out myself. Of course sometimes I am confused cause it is difficult to point a problem out which is based on a plugin. This really costs hours! Today I was happy to find out about that open/close the door thing and wanted to participate a LOWI flyin with our VA AirChild (where I am admin for xplane questions) and end up my day in writing support letters - this is boaring not the CRJ200! - if she would be boaring I simply would not touch that plane. That´s all and I hope you do understand that I am not trying to bother you, your business or your colleagues. And I did a lot for the CRJ200 - I wrote this very long list for custom joystick buttons / keystrokes - cause the CRJ200 had none of this. I think this helped a lot of people who are using hardware to fly that plane. Regards Tom

Cameron you are getting something wrong - maybe is my english or what you want to hear or think what you want to hear. I am not unfriendly but yes I demand support - of course I pay so I want and deserve support. I am not saying that you are doing something wrong. You remember the MU2 thing - I just wait for the new one cause of your activation thing what you are not able to solve. And here I have this problem with the CRJ200 and only with the CRJ200 and this for a while now. I just ask for help - maybe more times that you like. And maybe I point out things what you do not like to hear cause it is not good for business. But warning me to stopp my questions - is this good? That´s all do not get me wrong and have in your mind that I do not speak in my mother tongue. Regards Tom

Philipp, as I said I sorted out why I could not use the GPU button in the CDU - this was flying offline without xsquawkbox. Just now I wanted to do an online flight - but my old problem with your plane occurs again. I restarted the plane, moved locations, opened and closed door so that I can use the CDU GPU button on - AC button on - but the PFD and MAP stays dark. as soon as I remove the xsquawkbox plugins it works again. My win7 64 is a very new setup. I asked about this before I waited for the XP10 updates cause I thought the problem is maybe here but it only occurs with the CRJ200. For me it is a really boaring think this quite expensive software not to use while flying online. What can we do, what can I do...? Has this something to do with the activation, is this maybe an opengl problem - how can we find out? Maybe an interesting hint - the CDU in the plane is also dark - but it seems to work cause the CDU in my IPAD is working fine. But as I said before PFD EFIS and CDU in the plane are dark with xsquawkbox. please crj200 developers help in this case. Regards Tom

In the moment itis clear - no PFD no EFIS no other plugins then the default and gizmo / Shrinkwarp Somtimes after loading I see PFD and EFIS but then I cannot press the POS button to align the artificila horizon on the pfd. Just now I had the phenomen that I saw PFD and EFIS for a short while and then - dark I attached screenshots and log file Regards Tom Log.txt

Hi after installing the CRJ2 with the new download - the PFD and the EFIS stays dark and I cannot enable GPU Power on the FMC neither direct via mouse or with the IPAD CDU. I will do a new clean install - and please tell me - in the navigraph airac cycle I find SIDS and STARS in the VAS FMC download but not in the CRJ vers. 1.4.1- do I have to use them in the CRJ200? If yes do you did not put them into the plugin folder on purpose? Regards Tom Hi, Now after reinstall I threw out all plugins which is indeed not possible for operating this aircraft - the PFD is there but I still cannot set the position for aligning the PFD. (Still no SID and STARS in the nav folder!) The plugins are checklister, xpgf from sandy for go flightmoduels, python interface for the xjoymap with all the custom buttons I made, xarcars, chase view, airport navigator and VRInsight serialFP2 (which does not cause the problem). Please tell me what to do?! Did a new download, new install but no change or do I something wrong what I do not know. I still cannot press "SET POS" to align the PFD. Tom

The navigraph download for the ntive vas fmc files contains two folders I do not have in the crj 1.4.1 download - the SID and STAR folder. Does this two folders have to be copied to the crj navdata faolder as well or should we ignore them? Regards Tom

hello Javier, Phillipp, so glad that you go into the discussion. First of all I never thought that this problem is really related the the code of the CRJ cause this plane works very well with very good frame rates and a pretty good system depth that I really like to fly it - if I would not I would not care and would not write such a huge joystick commands list as I did. But the maker of this plane know the code and maybe know where to search for the problem. And yes I am on 64bit. The driver I have is the last driver nvidia provides and I have this problem for a quite long time and several driver generations. as the othe pilot said sometimes it is possible to get it to work. If is is an opengl problem I do not know what to do. The screen of UFMC from Javier Cortez vets. 2.5 was not visible on XP10 after an update it works maybe also opengl. I am not so sure that the next nvidia river will help their focus is on directx and all the games which are using the microsoft driver. Where can I look, what can I try to get it to work - that is the question!!! Regards Tom

Thnx for your answer cameron. Yes I had this problem in xp9. But there I could solve it with reboots, reloasing the plane, new set of plugins - I really do not know what helps. Sometimes I get it to work but no clear way how to do. Regards Tom

No way to assign anything to GoFlight modules which is not in Sandy's plugin. Only Sandy or somebody who is able to modify his plugin can do this. So be carefully with GoFlight nice panels but they do nothing to make it more compatible with xplane and custom build planes. I myself would buy more GoFlight modules but as long as they cannot be assigned to xplane commands default or custom I keep my fingers away of this products. Cheers Tom

Hi Javier or Phillip or to whom it may concern, I wonder if anybody has the same problem. I cannot use the XSquawkBox plugin with the CRJ200. Mostly the FMC stays dark. Without XSquawkBox plugin it works. To be sure I deleted all other plugins which are not needed for the CRJ - but it makes no difference! The FMC stays dark! It looks like the CRJ is not correct activated but as soon as I put out the XSquawkbox plugin it works. I am running win7 64bit. Xplane 10beta10 runs from an external Raid system, for testing I have a 2nd xplane on the system drive. I had the same problem on XPlane9. Does anybody has the same issue or ... even better a solution. Maybe Javier, Philipp or Cameron are having an idea Regards Tom ps. CAMERON: Is it possible that this is an activation issue?

There is no need to install Xplane in any program folder - you are free to install it wherever you want - I have it on a 4TB Raid0 with more the 2TB sceneries and it works fine. Cheers T.
