I think the big problem was Cameron´s promise that the MU2 update comes out with XP10 release. So lot of people thought it will be for XP10 of course. And then Laminar changed important things so that all authors got in trouble with their work for XP10. Peter Hagers A321 also had a long delay of month maybe nearly a year. In my point of view it is the best not to promise anything and to concentrate on the work - it is ready when it is ready. PMDG never announce a release day, maybe if they are sure it will be next week. There is no reason to say sorry that he work has not finished yet. And no authors knows that there are so significant changes in XP10 cause Austin promised via a letter to all authors that all XP9 planes will work in XP10. Best thing is not to promise a release date till you are 100% that the release will be. The community will wait with passion - like the FSX community wait calm for PMDG. Cheers Tom

Andy did you ever tried xjoymap by JOAN? This let you assign any dataref or command you want no matter if default or custom. Perfect for cockpit building! - Not for GOFLIGHT products! Regards Tom

Meanwhile it seems to be quite clear. It has something to do with the actvation process and my machine which has an msi elipse mainboard with two network adapters. I do not really understand what happens there but all tests with cameron come to this conclusion. So I deleted all my network drivers and installed new once and for the moment it is working. Will not say that it is ok by now we will see. It was really quite difficult to find out what causes the black screens. With the help from philipp and cameron we came so far that it is running again. thnx philipp, regarding the wp crash - why does it crash if I enter that waypoint - regardless if it on the transition or not - the controller asked me to do that and I did it with the crash. I think it may not crash in no circumstances there can anytime be a situation where the controller sends you to an unusual wp. you do not think so? with the holding I am happy to try that as soon as I am able to pull that plane out of the hangar. Hi Philipp, Yes and it still gave me SNU as last WP on the transition to rw29 then I inserted WW911 then CTD. BTW as we talk about how to make entries - is there a way to enter holding inbound legs and turn direction? For example what is the correct entry for a 175deg inbound leg and a left turn? Had my first ctd while entering a waypoint. Was inbound loww venen 2w - entered wp after nerdu SNU for rw 34 then the rw changed and I was sent to wp ww911 for rw29. After inserting WW911 as the last wp before loww xp9 crashed. I am using the latest airac circle. Tom xp9, win7, 64bit, nvidia gtx580

Cameron good morning, I can answer this directly. After fresh installing of the plane and the nvidia driver I saw, after activation, The displays once. After shutting down and restart of xplane they stay black. Regards Tom

If I had once a CRJ without the activation modul we could 100% check if the devil sits there. but of course this is not necessarry if Cameron is 100% sure that this problem has nothing to do with activation. Regards Tom

Just for your information - I deinstalled all nvidia drivers in the safe mode of WIN7, cleaned all rest of former drivers and installed the nvidia 295.51beta driver (latest). But with no success PFD and EFIS still black. Regards Tom

Yes Cameron I know - I had conversation with Ben about this ghosting and made some testing for him to figure out what driver caused the problem. But in the end it was a bug in xp which is corrected meanwhile. BTW I cleaned old driver stuff - but still no success. Regards Tom

I did a new install oaf the latest driver - made registry cleanings with 2 different apps. I agree there must be old parts of drivers - but I have definitely no idea how to get rid of that. Even when I deinstall the driver after restart an old driver is installed which I cannot find - I always have to install a new driver over an old one. Which should be no problem cause nvidia makes an deinstallation before installation. OK after this installation and those (incomplete) cleaning PFD and EFIS have been back to work. Then I shut down xplane rebooted the computer and started xplane again - PFD and EFIS are black again. Weired thing is that this problem only occurs with the CRJ200. I have to find out how to clean up everything from nvidia - on the other hand the win7 installation is only 2 month old - so to much old things are there. But anyway thnx for the moment I put the CRJ into the hangar just beneath the MU2 - try to clean my machine and wait for philipps ideas. Regards Tom

Installed the CRJ 1.4.2 now on version xp9 but still the same issue - CDU screen works, PFD and EFIS are dark. XP9 runs now from an internal disk. Regards Tom

Cameron, I am working on that XP9 download - in the meantime I am running plane10 from an external 4TB Raid0 ESATA device. Is it possible that this makes a problem - never had problems with that. Regards Tom

After upgrade to the latest nvidia driver it starts working again but only once - after a new xplane start it stays black again. I reinstalled the nvidia driver - no change - still dark. Interesting thing is that I had already the latest driver when it stops working. Then I downgraded to the latest whql but it made no difference. Now back to the latest it works again and stops again as mentioned above. About XP9 I do not have it on my machine. Regards Tom

As the xsquawkbox threat is closed I tried a clean installation - I discovered tonight that I have the same issue without the xsquawkbox plugin. After activation a clean installation of verion 1.4.2 the PFD and the EFIS stays black after GPU ON and AC IN USE. CDU screen is working. I think we should do an approach to this issue without the xsquawkbox problem. Win7 64bit Nvidia GTX580, Driver WHQL 285.62 On the Logfile you see some plugins but I tried it without any of them! Mr Russel please do not try to teach me anything concerning behavior etc. it is just not your business. About patience with software developers. First of all - everything is paid! There was no hint before that it might not work, my machine fulfilled all the requirements and past the CRJ200 test - clear you cannot know everything but...second I am waiting for a solution since weeks now. I am very patient with the MU2 which does not work for a year now (this disfunction definitely relies on the activation concept), and now the CRJ200 does not work as I expected on my machine which has a very new win7 setup. I was told to wait for the version 1.4.2. and nothing changed - so I ask again - what´s wrong with that. I just asks for help as I may as a customer and if I do not see answers in an old threat I post a new one to bring it back to the surface - this is nothing new. Regards Tom

Hi, I just could finish just one flight with the CRJ200 and xsquawkbox. Although Cameron asks me to wait for the version 1.4.2 it seems that this problem is not solved. And again I asks friendly and kindly to help to get rid of this problem. After loading the plane, activating batteries, activating GPU on CDU, switching the AC button to IN USE - the PFD and EFIS are staying black - the CDU screen is visible and can be used. I am on windows 7 64bit, MSI eclipse motherboard, 8 GBRAM, Nvidia 580GTX with the latest driver - what other infos do you need for finding the bug. Regards Tom

Hi Philipp, thnx for that update - I finished my first online flight since month with the CRJ - xsquawkbox plugin worked (today crossing fingers....) 1) The performance site did not work like it worked in the vers. 1.4.1 after entering the SAT all values stayed at zero (I entered 8° or 08° ) - I had to check with the handbook to get the right TO value. This was much nicer in version 1.4.1. ps. in my second flight it worked fine! 2) Good that we have this holding page now - but I can not figure out how to enter the right inbound track for a holding WP - I tried like: 159/R for 159° right turn - but this gave me the number 0 - I tried again then the message invalid entry - how do I have to do the entry correctly?
