  1. You should really read it!! I was also sceptical before reading it, since it's quite big... But it doesn't take that much time and Javier Rollon writes in a really entertaining way
  2. READ THE MANUAL!! Jokes I don't know if you ever worked with a complex FMS so i will explain all your problems 1: You need to switch the radio frequency tuning into "Manual"!! It is set on auto, just click on the button on the Radio page next to where it says "Auto/Manual" or something or that 2: When you entered your STAR, you need to click "Prev Page" until you arrive on the first page where your runways choices are 3: The FMS has probably the last Waypoint active, just go to the "Direct" page and click on the next waypoint that is on your flight path ahead of you. 4: You need to stay on the "Hold" page when you want the aircraft to actually hold I hope that answered all your questions!! If you haven't read the manual then read it!!!
  3. Reminds me of myself some years ago...

  7. I think you really need a good tutorial to get into the FMC programming Problem Nr.1: -You set all your FMC stuff and set the autopilot: FD Switch to ON, -Autothrottle Arm, -LNAV+VNAV ON Not on intercept heading: Just clear the message and fly the correct path towards your next waypoint Just don't worry about the message Problem Nr.2: You copy the waypoint after the "route discontinuity" message and click on the button to the left of the "Then: ----" field, then hit EXEC and it should be good
  8. Of course... You need to assign the "roll" axis to your joystick "Yaw" is the rudder, "Roll" are the ailerons
  9. I don't have a config file sadly. You would have to make one on your own
  10. Haha, awesome!!! Looks like my first flight with snow in X Plane is coming soon
  11. Looks like we just got another winter scenery package for the world: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?s=d979e3e88e0465fe46ee2c29f27ebe4f&app=downloads&showfile=24997

  18. Alright, so your solution is to buy Hardware
  19. Well, do you have any hardware connected to your computer? If yes then post your log.txt so we can see what's wrong, if not then it's clearly because you just don't have anything to assign
  20. On my way from Munich to Dubai with the FF 77W Departing Munich on RWY 08R: Enjoying the sunset: Navigating around some thunderstorms over Turkey: Approaching the bright lights of Dubai after 5 hours of darkness Rollout on runway 12L
  21. Ahh, gotta love the news!! Making a big drama out of an incident... "If the other engine would have failed we would have dropped out of the sky..." While we are on the topic of Q problems: Another Flybe Q400 had a minor braking issue last week: http://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=171105 Flybe is not going to be happy...
  22. Oh, you should have mentioned that you are on X-Plane 9... Did you request the aircraft for version 9 when you bought it? If not it's no wonder that the CRJ doesn't work...
  23. There are a lot of conflicts in your log.txt. The aircraft doesn't seem to load properly and GIZMO has also some problems... I can't really help you with that anymore since i am not a plugin expert. Did you really click and drag the switch or only press it? And by default plane I mean a standard X-Plane aircraft that are included with it. So the 747-400 United, C172, or the Baron 58
  24. So the .org store has been updated and there is already a category for the A350 by Flight factor. And livery packs are already available for purchase... A sign?? http://store-x-plane-org.3dcartstores.com/Airbus-A350_c_19.html http://store-x-plane-org.3dcartstores.com/European-Pack-1-for-Airbus-A350_p_329.html#tab-1
  25. Please read the manual!!! You turn on the battery and your EICAS display turns on. Then you either connect the GPU through the FMS or you start the APU and switch on the APU gen!! Another issue could be that you loaded another aircraft before, that had its displays dark. Just load a default plane and set the display brightness to max and then load the CRJ if the first recommendation doesn't work out.
