  1. Pils: Quite right. For whomever it might help, I first upgraded to the final ver of Monterey (macOS 12). No discernible improvement in the problems discussed above. Then upgraded to the final ver of Ventura (macOS 13, the highest OS my computer can handle). As far as I have explored so far, everything appears to be working as it should. Which is great, cuz I REALLY wanted to like this plane.

  2. For anyone else checking here: the procedure to change the units in the UNS-1 is described in the UNS-1 manual that is installed alongside the plane

  3. I can assure you, your computer can run even the latest macOS. Don't let Apple win the battle for planned obsolescence:

  4. Hey Yes, the Octavi works fine with the Challenger. In fact, I haven’t found any planes it doesn’t work with. I’m not using it much, as I’m using the FMS or the DCP/CCP panel from Avionique Simulation.

  5. Hi, is the current implementation of the go around mode correct? If I click it using the "ga_throttle button push" command I get the behavior shown in the image above, with no flight directors. If I use the xplane built in "activate go around" command the autopilot automatically engages (taking control from me) and commands about an 8-10 degree pitch up. Neither of those seem to be the expected behavior, though I'm far from an expert on this aircraft. Also, am I correct in assuming the black button on the left of the pilot side yoke is supposed to be a control wheel steering button? Binding the command associated with it "afm/cj/cmd/p_yoke/ap_trim_toggle_PUSH" temporarily turns off the autopilot, but does not sync the flight directors when it's released. Is this also correct behavior? Thanks!
