nigelmcelwee Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 First off, great job on this plane!! I had some neat things happen on my frist few flights ive never seen before. 1. During the flight I had a duct overheat failure and the temp in the plane dropped to 0 Celcius...I had to descend and land immediately. 2. this was just more neat that anything...on approach into KSFO, one of the digital speed digits on the MCP started to blink and display a weird value like an 8 and a 0 mixed together. Just totally awesome looking to see how everything doesn't work perfectly all the time and little things like this pop up just like in a real plane. Quote
thinkingabout Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 same happened to me, half an hour ago.. FL310..switched to standby and done a trip reset...lights disg...but Temp. doesnt warm up anymore.. 2. cant open the cockpit Window..clickspot is there, but no response.. 3. cant activate vnav.. Quote
Morten Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 2. Sounds like it might be the XPUIPC conflict again, disable that if you have it installed as a temporary fix (and reboot gizmo) About the flashing 8 it can also be a sign of overspeed Quote
nigelmcelwee Posted April 24, 2016 Author Report Posted April 24, 2016 I thought the flashing 8 was just one of those neat little features that crops up during flight...it wasn't on a digit that was active..it was like the "4th" digit that was flashing...I like all the neat features like not all temps are the same, the frequencies can vary a little, the CSD oil temp varies, etc...so cool how the gauges and systems are so much like the real thing. One of the coolest things that you and the airfoil labs guys did was make the VVI react properly. I hate how so many planes make you "fly the vertical speed" and it reacts instantly. I like how this plane it reacts like a real one would. It lags just a little like a real one. I love that! Quote
Defiance_co Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) Had this happen maybe 1hr ago ........ Iirc, i put the temps down to cool, clicked supply duct to pass cabin, pressed ovht test button, and put temps back to auto normal No idea what i was doing to be honest I also dropped down from 30k to i think 15k Just checked and all's well lmao I think the altitude drop helped, who knows, it's all new to me, at least it's now reading 23c Tony ps : no XPUIPC pps : Climbing up to see if it occurs again, just sightseeing at the moment over spain ppps : Poor old girl's taking a battering now, up at 36k being shook like a rag doll lol, anyways temps now holding approx 20.5c no sign of dropping any more thus far Edited April 24, 2016 by Defiance_co added text Quote
sparkie66 Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 duct overheat happens when the duct temp goes above 88celcius. if you set the temp high and its very cold, overheat can happen. Google told me to set a lower temp and trip reset, that worked. don't think it is a bug. 1 Quote
