MdMax Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 Hello !A runway on highway 160... ;DAs you can see, the highways, (160 and 163) match perfectly to the RealScenery Arizona photos. But not the runway of Kayenta Airport (0v7). Click here for the Google Maps photo. It looks like an old runway was close to the highway in the past.Is this runway inside the RealScenery package, or is it a bug in the default X-Plane scenery (I'm using 9.60rc3) ?Thank you and best regards. RealScenery Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 Yes - That's just default X-Plane airports. All of our new scenery (NorCal, Oahu, Reno) packages have all of the airports edited to match the underlying imagery exactly. For NorCal, this was done for nearly 400 airports and took a few months of my time! Many of the positions of the default airports are not from actual surveys, but are only positional estimates and can be off significantly, as you've seen here. Most of the larger airports will have their runways aligned perfectly with the imagery because of the higher precision with which the runway locations are measured. Quote
