I'm waiting for my copy of x-plane 9 to be delivered. I wanted to know, is there a why you can have the cockpit view and a tail on view of the airplane your flying up at the same time? I love this option in FSX.

One way this may be possible would be to add the "camera" instrument to your panel. I don't know how or even if you can change the location and direction of the camera, but if you could, that would be the way to do it.

Welcome to X-Pilot. There is an add-on that may do exactly what you want. I don't know how your view appears in MSFS, but take a look at this:

The view that you are looking for can be accessed by selecting the second occurrence of 'Circle: Shift/Arrows' in the view menu (at least if the aircraft has a 2D panel).
