Rydent1 Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 Hello, I was wondering if when the 737 comes out, if there will in the future be different engines that you can put onto the 737 (like the CFM563B2 ) Cheers Quote
Litjan Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) Hello, I was wondering if when the 737 comes out, if there will in the future be different engines that you can put onto the 737 (like the CFM563B2 ) Cheers No. IF we ever do a -400, it would likely have the 22K Thrust engines, so thats 10% more... Morten Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 As Jan says, very simply put, the -B2 just has a higher N1 limit (lower EGT margin) which reduces engine lifespan and increases maintenance costs. So you can actually simulate a -B2 takeoff accurately yourself by setting the TO thrust manually (no A/T). I'll see if I can dig up the exact numbers one day. Quote
