Throttle control (with keys?)

Is it possible to control the throttle with keys? The default commands do not work (for me at least) and there is no custom command as far as I can see.

My throttle gear broke last week and now approaches have become almost unflyable.

 

Any work-around?

Yes, the keys (assigned to standard X-Plane commands) should work fine.  However, The Saab throttles have detents and the keys will not override the detent.  In flight you will be able to adjust the throttles as long as you don't go into the "Flight Idle" detent.

Wow, that was quick, thanks. Your're right, it works as you described it.

Not sure though if this is any good during approach. Once you're at flight idle you won't get out of it and then things will start to get messy...well, I'll find out soon enough.

Will look into buying a new throttle quad anyway.
