STALKER Posted June 14, 2015 Report Posted June 14, 2015 Hi all! Should I upgrade to OS X Yosemite to fly X-Plane or no? One question more... what means exactly this? I don't understand it... "After I upgrade to iCloud Drive, can I downgrade and go back to using Documents in the Cloud? No, after you upgrade to iCloud Drive, you can't go back to using Documents in the Cloud. You can turn off iCloud Drive in iOS 8 by going to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive. You can turn off iCloud Drive on your Mac by going to Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud and deselecting iCloud Drive. If you turn off iCloud Drive, your documents and data will no longer be kept up to date across all of your devices." Thank you Quote
clavel9 Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 No reason why you shouldn't upgrade providing your computer supports it. My X-Plane performance (on a late-2011 MBP) hasn't changed significantly: if anything it might be slightly smoother. Quote
IAmOldGregg224 Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 no wait for El Capitan it has 10X performance boost on all macs Quote
ephendi Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I have mountain lion on separate hdd for xplane only. On yosemite crash some aircrafts because of sasl bug longtime. An24 yak40 by Felis for example or a330 by JAR. ON ml or maverick is stable Odoslané z môjho iPhone cez Tapatalk Quote

andydckent Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Never had any problems with X-Plane on Yosemite. Quote

X-Plane would have to be written to accommodate Metal to achieve the performance increase. It won't happen by merely upgrading to EC. See X-Plane's developer blog for more on this.
