Jose Almeida Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Hi, I usually adjust the cloud draw distance according to the altitude I am flying because, obviously, I can see further when I am high up. Would it be possible to make SMP change that distance as a function of altitude, so that it would be automatically reduced when we fly low? Since the number of objects X-Plane needs to draw increases at low altitude, simultaneously reducing the cloud draw distance could help manage FPS. José Quote
sundog Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 It already adjusts the cloud visibility distance as a function of altitude to some extent. We're already experimenting with better ways of handling it for SMP 2.1. Your observation is spot-on. Quote
