mtaxp Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 Sometimes I like to watch real clouds to compare it with SMP2 , and SMP2 simulates clouds just awesome. But IMO a new fair weather cloud variation would be awesome , a flat and long cloud , somthing like that : I hope that you'll implement such thing in the next updates
JohnMAXX Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) Actually these clouds are shaped by the wind, try a few cumulus layer at I dunno 2,ooo ft in the weather dialog and apply some wind to that alltitude you will see them morph into a similar formation..... SMP clouds are very dynamic Edited August 22, 2014 by JohnMAXX 2
frontendrob Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 I think the real beauty of SM only shows in windy conditions (something that's non-existant in X-Plane's weather presets). Make a cloud layer (cumulus scattered) between 6 and 8 thousand feet. Then a wind layer, 150kts at 7 thousand feet and you will see what I mean.
