hawker800 Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 I wasn't sure where to post this - hopefully this is the right place. I am Running X-Plane 10.25 64-bit and have been using the CRJ-200 for a while, without much trouble.Recently however, the autopilot has refused to engage and I cannot figure out why this is happening. The FD button enables the flight director and the command bars appear on the PFD. Turning the heading knob selects a heading, turning the altitude knob selects an altitude. So far so good. When I press the mode selectors on the MCP, nothing happens. Visually, I can see the buttons being depressed, but the autopilot just ignores them. Same thing for autopilot engage. A friend also has the CRJ and it works fine on his machine - so I know I am not simply using the wrong technique. Can anyone offer advice on how to fix this? Quote
czoog Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 Are the Yaw dampers turned on? That will cause the auto pilot to not engage. Quote
hawker800 Posted July 31, 2014 Author Report Posted July 31, 2014 No, it's not the Yaw Dampers. A great suggestion though. I tested it on my friend's machine and the symptoms are the same as I am experiencing. Quote
sizziano Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 Try reinstalling it see if that helps. Also a preferences dump is not a bad idea. Quote
hawker800 Posted August 2, 2014 Author Report Posted August 2, 2014 Reinstalling didn't fix it either unfortunately.Do you mean dump the X-Plane preferences? Or are there preferences specific to the CRJ? Quote
cessna729 Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 I suspect you just have accidentally pressed AP DISC and have forgot to re-set it (by pressing the AP DISC bar back in). cessna729. Quote
