deetee Posted April 25, 2014 Report Posted April 25, 2014 Hi guys, can anyone tell me if it's possible to retract the ADG once deployed?I accidentally clicked on the ADG control and I don't know how to make it retract (clicking again doesn't do anything). ThanksDave Quote
Hueyman Posted April 25, 2014 Report Posted April 25, 2014 I remember reading on the manual a while ago it can only be retracted on ground by ground crew .... Considering it's an emergency device, you shouldn't have to retract it. In a word, reload the aircraft while safe on ground Quote
deetee Posted April 25, 2014 Author Report Posted April 25, 2014 Cheers Hueyman, that makes sense.I shall leave it alone in future! 1 Quote
psanker Posted April 25, 2014 Report Posted April 25, 2014 Yeah, the Air Driven Generator (ADG) is only used in-air if both engines fail and you can't start the APU. It's used to provide power to the essential bus and the electrical hydraulics (3A and 3B) systems, so you can get on the ground safely. Quote
