ncc1701e Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 I would like to know what is the best software/technique to view multiple views inX-plane on the same computer while using just one monitor. Like in FSX you can have the cockpit as your primary view but you can havea smaller view inset in the corner that is showing an outside view in simultaneously. Quote
psanker Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 I do not believe X-Plane supports split or inset views. Imagine the already heavy rendering requirement of X-Plane doubled or tripled with different viewports. Quote
ncc1701e Posted March 18, 2014 Author Report Posted March 18, 2014 I see. I was wondering about the same thing that how much more rendering power that would take but then you see videos like this and wonder how it's done if on a single machine. Quote
psanker Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) That's not done with a single recording session. That's done with multiple sessions over the same time segment and then shrunk and collaged in a video editing program like Premiere or Final Cut. Edited March 18, 2014 by psanker Quote
ncc1701e Posted March 19, 2014 Author Report Posted March 19, 2014 Understood. I had a feeling that's how its done. The replay bar in the insets is a clue. Thanks for confirming. Quote
Keith Smith Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 There actually is a plugin called MultiView out there. It'll do what you're asking. Quote
Keith Smith Posted March 20, 2014 Report Posted March 20, 2014 Appears to be free (it's at the org). Google "multiview plugin xplane" Quote
ncc1701e Posted March 20, 2014 Author Report Posted March 20, 2014 Yes Keith thanks. I downloaded and started playing with it. Much appreciated. Quote
