aakindlund Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 Hello! My first attempt at designing an airport from scratch in WED (version wed_lin_260r2 on Ubuntu). It is an abandoned place with very little information about it's history. Never been used as an airport and doesn't have an ID. Anyway, the airport is almost done except that I can't get rid of the trees that covers the entire runway + some houses along the road to the airport. I have tried: 1) exclusion zones - even using several overlapping as well as using one large zone (made sure to tick in all the types of exclusions) but no effect at all. 2) exclusion poly - got an error message that this doesn't work for forest yet but tried it anyway 3) drawn airport boundary I have seen other threads about this issue but it didn't solve the issue. Any help with this is much appreciated. Lat long (65.57, 22.187) coordinates in case anyone is curious about where the place is. Kind regards. Log.txt Quote
tkyler Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 @aakindlundI'll take a peek at this. I'm getting quite close to releasing phase 1 of Laminar's new developer docs, and helping developers is part of that process. I have written a section of the (yet to be released) WED manual on "targeted exclusions" and I'd like to see if those instructions hold up against your scenario. I'll report back. -tkyler Quote
