docromano Posted November 28, 2013 Report Posted November 28, 2013 I just experienced justanother CTD which I know is probably associated with the XSB plugin. While checking the log.txt, I found hundreds of lines written by GIZMO checking if my key is valid. I was flying the X-aviation CRJ200. Didnt have that before I installed SMP. Any ideas ? Or is this normal behaviour ? The crash happened while updating the weather - I think. I am using the NOAA plugin and every weather update stops the sim for several seconds while my PC is probably not the slowest. Maybe also an issue with that ?Log.txt Quote

This is CRJ related, not SkyMaxx. See further explanation here. Quote
docromano Posted November 28, 2013 Author Report Posted November 28, 2013 Thank you Cameron. Any ideas on NOAA / SMP interaction and why it is hanging on weather updates ? Quote
Cameron Posted November 28, 2013 Report Posted November 28, 2013 Thank you Cameron. Any ideas on NOAA / SMP interaction and why it is hanging on weather updates ? This happens based on when X-Plane decides to load new weather for a closer METAR location. The pause has ALWAYS been there in X-Plane, though it can be a bit more noticable with SkyMaxx Pro dependent on system because in SkyMaxx Pro no two clouds look alike, so X-Plane has to re-render the scene. In default X-Plane weather, the clouds are almost always, if not always, the same/alike, thus the load time to render that scene is much less time to calculate. We are going to look into this some, but I'm honestly unsure if we'll be able to work around it. This is just a limitation of X-Plane for the moment. Quote
