Mario Donick Posted September 1, 2013 Report Posted September 1, 2013 Are you having any problems with the DA42 with Gizmo and SASL installed also? See the post here (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=70172). I did not have the crash, but the many messages that SASL could not find 2 components. However, this makes no sense to me, because the referenced names are properties, not components (see my postings in the other thread). (Or SASL's error messages are not using these terms properly...) Mario Donick Posted September 1, 2013 Report Posted September 1, 2013 Flying the DA-42 from Lugano to Innsbruck, using the G1000 mod v1.2. Approach was a bit tricky, because it was dark, the valleys were narrow and I had to fly through 3 cloud layers. Next day ... 3 Quote

ShaneMontoya Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 +1 Mario. Great plane, a real pleasure to fly, but not a very "advanced" G1000. You can find the manual here:http://www.stephanebuon.fr/DA42/diamond-DA42-xplane.phpI made a new flight today from Düren (EDRJ) to Metz-Nancy-Lorraine (LFJL), but not with a direct route.A few minutes after the take-off, clouds and their shadows behind me:Above Kanfen near the motorway A31:The ULM runway in Zoufftgen. The website for this club: http://ulmclub.online.fr/accueil.htmAbove Thionville and Terville:A last shot with Gandrange and Amnéville:Really impressive screenshots :-)Wondering where did you get the scenery? Many thanks Shane Quote

See the post here (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=70172). Stephane Buon has released a small patch to fix the SASL errors: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=70172&page=2#entry761741 Just download the .zip file there and replace the “Custom Avionics” folder. Will also be included in the 1st official update. Quote

Mario Donick Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 Well, OSM coverage is getting better and better, and as the SimHeaven (and ZonePhoto) orthophotos have all been created using that Google converter tool, it should theoretically not be a problem to have this on many other places, too. It's just that somebody does it -- and pays for the server space and traffic! 2 Quote
