SwissCyul Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 (edited) Hey. I am running X Plane 10 on a Macbook Pro 13" (2.9ghz, HD Intel 4000 512 MB, 8GB ram) with an External 40" Monitor. When i put in the settings "Framerate-lock to Monitor: Do not Lock", i get around 50fps. But when i put it to "Refresh Rate of Monitor", i get around 15-20fps. Will i kill my computer with 50fps?The fan gets really loud when i have it on 50fps, so i don't know if this is maybe too much for my computer. Does someone have the same Problem? Greetings,SwissCyul Edited October 27, 2013 by SwissCyul Quote
FloB Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Whilst I have no idea how your intel HD 4000 can push 50 FPS your computer should be fine unless you overclocked it or block the ventilation. Of course it will get hot and noisy because it is running at max. speed all the time and eventually it might be slowed down by some built-in safety procedure. Flo Quote

FloAlright thank you This morning i got around 100fps!!!! On the Apple website it says that the Macbook pro is optimized for X Plane 10, so maybe that is the reason. I will now enjoy extreme Frame-rates while flying Greetings, SwissCyul Quote
Orcair Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 You have 100FPS on an integrated graphics card and a dual core processor ? Quote

SwissCyul Posted October 27, 2013 Author Report Posted October 27, 2013 No kidding ? These guys would say anything in order to sell . PhMYeah it really says there(http://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/performance-retina/), next to the "Gaming" Paragraph. I first didn't believe that as well… 1 Quote
PhM Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Yeah it really says there(http://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/performance-retina/), next to the "Gaming" Paragraph.I see, so they basically say that it is 1.9 times faster than the previous models. I love those marketing numbers, they do no mean anything. PhM Quote
