dcbrasil Posted December 7, 2025 Report Posted December 7, 2025 Hello guys, I've been trying to fly the Entegra SR22. They are wonderful models and, having flown one time in real life in one, I can see the amount of work put into them. I am following the AFM procedure for takeoff and climb on the SR22TN but I keep getting two cylinders go bad on my flights. I've kept the engine running according to the manual (full power/mixture for TO and climb, and LOP for cuise, boost pump on) with no success. Any thoughts? Quote
Coop Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago LOP is a very fine line between being efficient and cooking the engine (there is a reason with the newer SR22T its highly discouraged to climb LOP and ROP is heavily used). If CHTs are climbing, lean further and/or increase airspeed to increase cooling. When LOP you need to keep your eyes on the temps like a hawk. Quote
