AtomicFrawg Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 Hello, Would anyone be willing to share a custom x-plane 10 pro flight yoke Profile? Thanks Quote
BWolf7 Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 In X-Plane, profiles are pointless. You can customize everything in-sim. Quote
raven1982 Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 The Pro flight profile as stated above might be a waste. The use of trial and error within X-Plane is your best bet. Not to mention it decreases the number of possible conflicts. Quote

raven1982 Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Which yoke? The Pro Flight Yoke or the Cessna Yoke? And, is it brand new or used? One last question, are you running Window, Linux, or Mac? The OS should not matter since I know other have used Saitek products on all platforms, but some people have had issues. Quote
steven winslow Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Some of the buttons do not work in the sim menu, Am I missing something? I just bought it and am looking for a starting point. Have you assigned any functions to those buttons in the Joystick and Equipment menu? Go to Settings>Joystick and Equipment>Buttons: Adv tab and make the button assignments you want. I use the hat switch to select my views (primarily in V9.7), the left hand "trigger" button is my Contact ATC button, the switch on the left hand I use to do screenshots (forward) and toggle quicktime movies (back), the switch on the right hand I use to start/stop timer and to reset the timer, the button I use to reset my view to forward with panel and the wheel I use also to contact ATC on VATSIM. I'm on a Mac so the only function that works is the stopwatch. I don't remember which button controls it, but you can figure that out. The switches on the throttle quadrant I use to turn on transponder and squawk, select fuel tank, Load FMS plans, carb heat on and off, etc. Quote

I may go the Adv button route and see how that works tonight. I am hopeing I wont need a plug in for it. Which yoke? The Pro Flight Yoke or the Cessna Yoke? And, is it brand new or used? Oh man I forgot the basics =).Windows 7 64bit / Pro flight Yoke / It is used, however everything works as tested in Prepar3D and FSX. Just trying to get my 3rd Sim up and running. (yes I am a Flight sim freak). I accually Live Stream Flight sims and do mini flight reviews and spread the word of X Plane 10. I have converted a few flight simmers to Xplane because of the Live stream. =) Thank you all for the replies, I just needed something to get me up and running fast. Quote
steven winslow Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 I am hopeing I wont need a plug in for it. I'm pretty sure you won't need a plugin. I'm unaware of any plugins for the yoke/throttle quadrant. There are plugins for the Radio Panel, Switch Panel, Multi Panel and Backlit Info Panel available, but I don't think there is anything for the yoke. I do have the cd that comes with the yoke buried somewhere if you need it. It is useless for Mac. Quote
AtomicFrawg Posted May 22, 2013 Author Report Posted May 22, 2013 Hey, thanks for the offer, but the guy i bought it from had the CD. It is amazing the difference from using the x52 to a yoke and pedals. Quote
BWolf7 Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 What buttons are you trying to use? All buttons should work. And you will need to use the Adv buttons tab for complete functionality. The detent at the bottom of the throttle will work as a reverser also, if you assign it to a button. Quote
