SwissCyul Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 Mhm, i don't really like the cockpit windows and the nose. But overall a good plane Quote
purpleboy28 Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 WOW!! it looks absolutely amazing!! This plane might.. might change the world.. hehe.. Quote
Ntr09 Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 Seems to me you have to make the nose look funny in order to make a next-gen super-efficient widebody. 787 anyone? -NR 1 Quote
Michael_Chang Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 Seems to me you have to make the nose look funny in order to make a next-gen super-efficient widebody. 787 anyone? -NR well, the nose is mostly aesthetics in both cases. MOSTLY. The other reasoning, is that now, designers have much more complex modelling tools at their disposal, and molds for planes like the 787 and a350 are becoming more and more complex in turn. although it doesn't seem that way, both the 787 and a350 have extremely complex nose cross sections, that need to be carefully designed for maximum efficiency and practicality. Following the general opinion, YES that plane looks amazing! It's interesting, how wide the landing gears are, and the shape of the windshield and "mask" around the panels Quote
Michael_Chang Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 Also, i noted in this photo, the a350 shares a very similar flap design to the 787, in that it appears to be single slotted flap with only rotation and no rear-ward movement Quote
SwissCyul Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 I hope they don't have so much problems like the 787. But airbus always has problems with the testing!! I bet it will take years to get the production going Quote

I bet it will take years to get the production going I think they have learnt from the A380 and it's definitely not that Airbus has been sleeping during all the 787 problems. They sure have taken those problem risks in mind. Otherwise Airbus would be handling really stupid. 1 Quote

Well it has been build under the newest aerodynamical rules. Quote
Michael_Chang Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 Yeah, thats what i hope. But i still think that the A350 looks not good. Well it has been build under the newest aerodynamical rules. The a350 has a huge number of common traits with the a380, it features a similar nose gear and gear box design, along with a very similar cockpit. Quote

Michael_Chang Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 Yeah. But the outside design is a bit different LOL yeah, although, in reality, the nose design is almost identical in theory. the very far forward nose door is a design trait taken from the a380 Quote
SwissCyul Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 Well, i have to accustom to the new look Quote
mattyb Posted June 10, 2013 Report Posted June 10, 2013 The rumour is that it will fly on Thursday or Friday. The planned strike of the air-traffic controllers shouldn't impact the flight.
