manfredfunco Posted Thursday at 05:14 PM Report Posted Thursday at 05:14 PM Hi, I'm using a Moza AB9 force feedback stick. The yoke moves very slowly. If I move the stick/yoke full left, it takes 8 seconds for the yoke/ailerons to move to the full range. Same with pitch. I tried a different joystick (old logitech stick), and disabled all plugins except for gizmo and have the same issue. Any suggestions? I'll just thought to try reinstalling the aircraft from scratch. Will try that. I wanted to get back into this aircraft (after getting the Moza AB9) as it's been a while. Thanks Quote

manfredfunco Posted Thursday at 10:11 PM Author Report Posted Thursday at 10:11 PM (edited) Got it. When I spawn cold and dark, the controls have the lag because there are no hydraulics. Too bad X-Plane didn't send the necessary telemetry to my force feedback stick to make the controls hard to move (maybe there's something I can adjust in the Moza profile?). After reinstalling, the default state was powered up so the aircraft had hydraulics, and the controls were fine. I turned off the Elec A and B, and the controls were still fine. But after moving the controls for a while, the lag came back as the hydraulic system lost pressure. Turn on one of the electric pumps and all good. Great job with the systems modeling IXEG! Litjan Posted yesterday at 11:56 AM Report Posted yesterday at 11:56 AM (edited) Hi Manfred, sorry for the late reply, I was on duty yesterday flying EDDF-KEWR.. Yes, this would have been my first guess - if the hydraulics are off (or failed) we simulate the so called "manual reversion" - the plane can still be flown with raw muscle power using the cables, but the flightcontrols are not powered, so they are very hard to move, like a car with the servo steering failed. We simulate this by making the controls move SLOW - the real controls are just HARD to move, but we can not simulate that...it may be possible with a force-feedback joystick like you have one, but those are still the exception for simulator users. I have flown that failure in the simulator a few times, and it is acceptable to have one pilot work the yoke with both hands (and the other one controlling the throttle on his command), because it is pretty much impossible to control the plane that way with only one hand on the yoke. Glad to hear that you are enjoying the plane, all the best, Jan Edited yesterday at 11:58 AM by Litjan 1 Quote
