Kesomir Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 For my learning foray into the x-plane sdk, I have written a plugin which gives me a view cycle like MSFS. Currently compiled for Windows and mac only.File Attached. This plugin will cycle views forward and back between 3d pit, 2d pit, chase and tower using F8 and F9 (remappable) like the MSFS views cycle.Drop the CycleViews.xpl into your x-plane/resources/plugins folderPC Version: Cycleviews 1.0.zipMac Version: CycleViews 1.0 -mac.zipCycleViews_1.0.zipCycleViews_1.0_-mac.zip Quote
Kesomir Posted August 20, 2010 Author Report Posted August 20, 2010 Now having a mac I have compiled the plugin for mac as well.Tested for 5 seconds hitting F9, F8 on my mac is mapped to spaces, but I presume if remapped that would work as well and F8 and it appears to work correctly in both forward and backward cycling. woweezowee Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 hm, I'd try it maybe, but what's the difference to "AI controls your views"?Read this? http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=1121.0What you think? Quote

This functionality is similar to view cycling in MSFS and means that you only need 2 keys to move around the most common views (2d, 3dpit, chase and tower) rather than mapping each view to a key/button.Re your request, I'll have a look into it, no promises though. scubajuan Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 Hello Kesomir, where is this plugin available for download? Is it freeware?I only have mapped some views to joystick buttons and find my self navigating trough the menu to change them quite often and think it would be very nice feature to haveThanks!Edit: Never mind, just downloaded it and will install right away ;D Quote
weepabieke Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 Dear Kesomir! i would appreciate if you can tell me hoe to activate this plug in in my pc. I downloaded it and placed it in the plugin folder in my XP9 but it does not show. Thanks in advance for your help. Quote
Kesomir Posted November 30, 2011 Author Report Posted November 30, 2011 You should just drop it into resources/pluginsfire up x-planehit F8 or F9 to cycle forward or backward through views.I have not tested this with the x-plane 10 demo - where they have altered key assignments and change the camera view system from version 9. Which version of x-plane are you using? Quote

chris k Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 Well, the original is a fat binary, but fat in the wrong way: chrisk@MacPro:~> file /Users/chrisk/Downloads/CycleViews.xpl/Users/chrisk/Downloads/CycleViews.xpl: Mach-O universal binary with 2 architectures/Users/chrisk/Downloads/CycleViews.xpl (for architecture ppc7400): Mach-O dynamically linked shared library ppc/Users/chrisk/Downloads/CycleViews.xpl (for architecture i386): Mach-O dynamically linked shared library i386 Kes will need to do a fat for 32/64. There's no 64-bit version in there - Ck. Quote
