crs Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Hi there,I am in possession of Horizon's VFR Photographic Scenery of Northern, Central and Southern England as well as North, Mid and South Wales for FSX and FS2004. I'm wondering if there is a way to use it with X-Plane. If that might be possible please let me know as I would love to use it as something different then dust collector on my book shelve.Thanks,Kamil. Quote
Kesomir Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 I think you may be able to convert the fs2004 version using fs2xplane toolhttp://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?automodule=downloads&showfile=24 Quote
MichaelV Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 It is possible, but be aware, that you get a real framerate-killer (you get a huge amount of poly files, which x-plane draws above the world scenery) and you get very low resolution photoscenery (means: it start looking good above FL200). I would strongly recommend to build your own photoscenery with Psx ( www.photosceneryx.com ), because you can build your own new mesh and you get much better framerates even with high resolution ortophotos (i build my scenery with zoom level 16 or 17, and that works really good!)Try to do it by yourself!!Good luckMichael Quote
