hiddenace
Hey i am interested in the real Scenery Oregon and Washington. when i downloaded the demo I had mixed feelings. The scenery looks great but my concern is the 3D generated objects like trees and buildings. It looks like they are rand generated and does not line up with the mesh. In fact it looks really bad. Will the actual purchased scenery fix this issue? This is a deal maker for me. To elaborate. If you look at Orbx photo real scenery the autgen lines up in places where it would be plausible examplehttp://fullterrain.com/images/ss/nablue/24.jpghttp://fullterrain.com/product_napfj.html# In real Scenery Oregon Demo i get this =( Edited December 10, 2012 by hiddenace
Cameron
The autogen is based on X-Plane autogen. Unfortunately, the tools to make these kinds of adjustments (with the exception of roads) do not exist for X-Plane in an efficient manner. Andras has published great packages for tree data, and there are also great OSM download locations here for roads and objects: http://scenery.osm2xp.com/north%20america/us/ The above can be overlaid on the Oregon scenery and will replace the autogen as you currently see it. Please keep in mind that Oregon is a legacy scenery product. The "enhanced" line of products contain the latest and greatest, but at this time is limited to Oahu, Reno, and the soon to be released NORCAL package.
