LogJammer Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 So I want to set up an older PC here as an Instructor Station and am ready to purchase another copy of XP 10, but before I take the plunge, I want to determine how small of a setup I can install as the computer will not be used at all to fly or, view flights in.So my question is, how much can I *not* install and still have the Instructor Station work?Does the IOS pull any info from the Master, such as Aircraft Available, or list of Airports?I appreciate the help and will further explain if necessary.Thanks.Justin Quote
Cameron Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 I would assume the best bet would be to install the demo version of X-Plane on this PC to see how you go there. That's about as bare as you get, and you can simply have the DVD in place (or USB key) to get out of demo mode. The only issue here I can think of would be that I believe if you wish to use the map mode in the instructor view you're going to need to have the scenery installed for the areas you wish to do instruction.
