Peter T.
i decided, after all my posts and updates on X-KMDW less and less people are getting interested and tuned to the updates, probably because there is already a good KMDW out there by Butnaru so I'll let you guys decide what airport should we do next so to suit your wants. Redfisher
How can you tell that "less and less people" are interested in KMDW?
Peter T.
Well... the topic seemed to be more quieter than usual, most of the post now is my updates...so i presumed theres no much interest anymore, of course i will continue to develop KMDW, but i think KMDW is not the best choice because of Butnaru's great KMDW already out there and I'm just re-inventing the wheel... greggerm
Remember - with more updates comes more familiarity with them, The news of your continued development becomes expected rather than properly appreciated. Fewer updates at wider intervals might do a better job at teasing the user base, and help maintain interest in the process.I'm sure everyone who's interested is still viewing and enjoying the updates provided, but with so many updates happening, it becomes a more passive event.Hang back on the next (2) updates you would normally have provided, and then wow everyone with the 3rd. scubajuan_new
I understan that creating a scenery from scratch is a lengthy process that requires a considerable amount of time and dedication, first on the research and then in the development it self. I've noticed that sceneries are usually released as a single aerodrome or airport and that most developers concentrate in one single airport at the time and usually a major hub, like KJFK, KLAX, etc. Which makes sense to me since small aerodromes are only popular for people that either live in the area and want to to fly locally or for someone that has visited the place and want to recreate a trip; but how about a series of the most difficult or dangerous airports in the world. For a while I have been looking for converted from MSFS or even native files to convert to XP of the known 10 most weird or dangerous airports to land, and I've found some but not all. in XP9 Lukla was possible to land at but in XP10 with the rwy follows the contour... is just impossible, there are some sharp edges on the runway. It is not even possible to start at the runway without crashing, which is a bummer. I remember last years or perhaps 2 years ago there was an attempt to make an online fly-in and the route was from Katmandu to lukla. It was a lot of fun and quite challenging.I guess my suggestion is that: To make a series of airports/aerodromes of the most difficult or dangerous airports in the world: http://www.squidoo.com/weird-airports
