My brother and I have put each other's IP addresses in the appropriate box in Network settings, but how do we see each other and fly together?

Once an IP is connected it should say so within sim. Do you get this confirmation? If so, that is all there is to it. If you don't get this confirmation then you may be entering in local network ip info and not actual gateway info.
