Jordan P. Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 (edited) so autogate has recently been fixed for x-plane and i have desided i wanted to add it to some of my favourties like EGLL but i found this tutorial X-Plane 10\Instructions\AutoGate_dev_124\AutoGate.htmlbut it doesn't really tell you how to install it to scenery packages it just says what the plugin comes with. Is there a good tutorial or can someone explain? Edited September 17, 2012 by Remlap Quote
chris k Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 Err I assume you are asking "How do you add an object into X-Plane":This is covered in great detail in many of the manuals for WED and OE:http://www.x-plane.com/support/manuals/wed/#addingobjectsandauto-generatingsceneshttp://wiki.x-plane.com/Airport_Customizationautogate simply contains jetway/boarding bridge objects that you place into a scene - just like any other custom object in X-Plane. It is no different than adding any other custom object.- Ck. Quote
Jordan P. Posted September 18, 2012 Author Report Posted September 18, 2012 Oh okay i didn't know if you had to do anything else and is there a way to make the auto gate work with another gate that I modeled in blender? Quote
Ryan M. Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 I have no idea, Marginal might be the guy you're looking for. Quote
PMG21 Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 Hi!I have the EGLL autogate already installed, but I still don't konw how to use it.If you could help me...Thank you Quote
Andyrooc Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 The gate will automatically dock with your aircraft when you stop your engines/stop fuel. This is provided you use a 'known' aircraft (B7xx, A3xx) The aircraft must also have a couple of attributes defined - the ICAO code, and measurements to the front door location. Quote
chris k Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 We added Autogate to YPAD in the latest spin. - try it there as well. Quote
Jordan P. Posted February 13, 2013 Author Report Posted February 13, 2013 Did you get the most recent plugin? Be chase the package has autogate but you need the plugin to. Quote

Andyrooc Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 Use it as in 1) create scenery that uses it, or 2) park at an airport and see it work? Quote
chris k Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 Its really not hard to install. Just follow the instructions in the README that comes with it. It requires only computer skills such as unZIPping a file, opening a folder on your computer, and copying a few files. However, yes i agree, those who are unfamiliar with computers may find it a difficult task, just like flying an airplane. Quote
chris k Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 64? yep. http://marginal.org.uk/x-planescenery/tools.html Quote
