so autogate has recently been fixed for x-plane and i have desided i wanted to add it to some of my favourties like EGLL but i found this tutorial X-Plane 10\Instructions\AutoGate_dev_124\AutoGate.html

but it doesn't really tell you how to install it to scenery packages it just says what the plugin comes with. Is there a good tutorial or can someone explain?

Err I assume you are asking "How do you add an object into X-Plane":

This is covered in great detail in many of the manuals for WED and OE:

http://www.x-plane.com/support/manuals/wed/#addingobjectsandauto-generatingscenes

http://wiki.x-plane.com/Airport_Customization

autogate simply contains jetway/boarding bridge objects that you place into a scene - just like any other custom object in X-Plane. It is no different than adding any other custom object.

The gate will automatically dock with your aircraft when you stop your engines/stop fuel. This is provided you use a 'known' aircraft (B7xx, A3xx) The aircraft must also have a couple of attributes defined - the ICAO code, and measurements to the front door location.

Its really not hard to install. Just follow the instructions in the README that comes with it.

It requires only computer skills such as unZIPping a file, opening a folder on your computer, and copying a few files.

However, yes i agree, those who are unfamiliar with computers may find it a difficult task, just like flying an airplane.
