Boeing uses a very similar design (if not identical design) for their Winglets on many of their Aircraft. I believe the 767 looks the same as the '37NG series.

Suppose it has to do something with the 100,000 hours of wind tunnel testing =) They came out with a great shape which works well for them.

Airbus uses a different design; which seems to work for them.

Thanks Chris. Boeing uses a virtually identical blended winglet for their airplanes (767 & 737). The 747-400 uses almost the same winglets as the 727 with winglets.

Only problem I see is the winglets need to be "fattened up" a bit to exactly match the width of the wing! But other than that... It's a very good start would live to have winglets on all the repaints :)
