Guillaume AMELINE Posted November 3 Report Posted November 3 (edited) Hi, I was wondering if you could consider one day building a variant of your DA40NG, equipped with a KAP140 instead of the GFC700 autopilot. It is a combination that can be seen very ofter in real life, because the KAP140 is significantly cheaper. The KAP140 being tricky to use, I think it would be an interesting simulation platform to practice for many student pilots throughout the world. Edited November 3 by Guillaume AMELINE Quote
Coop Posted November 6 Report Posted November 6 That isn't something currently planned, but something to consider. I believe that config is much more common with the DA40 XLS and prior (non-NG variants). Quote
Guillaume AMELINE Posted November 7 Author Report Posted November 7 Thanks for your reply. Hard to tell, but I would be interested in finding out the statistics. In my Airclub, they have a DA40NG with KAP140 + G1000. In the private flying school next door they have 2 DA40D, 2 DA42 with TAE125 engines and 2 simulators with that same cockpit layout. Quote
