Jinghao112 Posted September 19 Report Posted September 19 I've recently bought the torquesim SR20 G1000 for preparing my private pilot license training, it works well. But the SR20 in our training does not have wheel fairing, and that causes the difference between performance data given by my instructor and the torquesim SR20. As you can see in the POH, from the "cruise performance", "Subtract 10 KTAS if nose wheel pant and fairing removed. Lower KTAS by 10% if nose and main wheel pants and fairings are removed.", 10 knots or 10% KTAS is quite big diffrent. Our training airport's pattern altitude is 2000ft MSL, and refer to the POH, when the temperature is ISA and power is 52%, the KTAS is 127kts. If you remove the fairings, you will get 127kt-127kt x 10%= 115kts, and this data is for 2600lbs. Our trainer SR20 operates at 3050lbs, and the data given by our instructor is 105kts. Actually, all the SR20 in my flight college (including g3 and g6) is no-fairing. Thank you for your good work on SR20, I'm looking forward to have this options! (The photo below is only few of my college's aircrafts, actually you can search CAFUC, it stand for Civil Aviation Flight University of China, every SR20 in our college is no-fairing) Quote
