MFD advance not working

When I press the MFD advance on the FMS computer it only gives me the option for R or L (RIght or left) There for I can select which one I want to advance but cant actually advance it to check way points. 

Also I think that there should be a moving map in this mode byt mine just shows way points on a black background. Is there an add on here I am missing?
