xeete Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 (edited) The resolution of the displays looks bad and is not the attitude indicator on the PFD or the ias and altitude, my GPU is ATI Radeon X1550, is this the problem? has a solution? http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/823/crj200.jpg/ Edited March 12, 2012 by xeete Quote
Cameron Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 It's quite likely that a GPU that old is in fact the source of the problem. The issue you describe goes along those lines. Quote
larjeet Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 (edited) I was actually surprisied that this card was still available at places like Amazon and dell and is priced at just about the same price American that I paid Canadian for My HD6790 from NCIX Edited March 12, 2012 by larjeet Quote
philipp Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 X1550 is a DirectX9 card, right ??Note that it is not DirectX9 that matters - because X-Plane doesn't use this technology - but the feature set of this generation of cards, and those features reflect in the openGL compliance as well. Please go to the ATI website and download the latest driver available - perhaps it's a simple matter of you reinstalling your OS and just forgetting to update the graphics driver. If that doesn't help I fear you are out of luck though - because the newest drivers are usually optimized to get the maximum out of the newest chips, and don't care that much about hardware now 5 years old.Philipp Quote
