United Airlines "Channel 9"

Hi everyone,

Im flying with United on spring break in about 2 weeks and was wondering with the UA/Continental merger will United continue to have the radio channel where you can listen to ATC?

Any insight would be appreciated

Channel 9 is still in effect at the discretion of the captain for the flight.

I don't believe all aircraft have been converted over to have this feature yet, but it is to stay for the moment.

Channel 9 thats the official emergency channel on 27MHZ CB radio this sounds High tech LOL actually most aircraft frequencies use Amptitude modulation Just Like CB
